Re: Ghost of Christmas Past (1951)
I like the new version. You did a good job muting the colors on it. It must be difficult to decide what to do in order to make it stand out with all the whiteness-especially since the original is black and white, you can't use it for color reference. Thanks. Transposing the B&W to color is a bi...

'41 Wolfman
You can never have to many Wolf-men. This one is from sculptor Troy McDevitt, and it is an awesome rendition of the Lon Chaney Jr. character. The model comes in 4 parts - the head, base, arm and name plate. The resin is perfect. Right out of the box, and test fitting. Looks terrific https://blogger....

Re: Ghost of Christmas Past (1951)
It was weighing on my mind. After having another look at the image of the Ghost from the movie, I couldn't get past that my Ghost was too colorful - lively looking. To remedy this I too some watered down V. Ivory, and with everything masked off, including his eyes I gave the face a mist coat to make...

Re: Marvel Spider-Man Paint Your Own Figure - Venom
I remember seeing those "paint 'em yourself" kits a few times in the past - around X-mas time IIRC. Yep, those look like grow lines to me. IIRC that's what some producers would do - 3D print one, and then once cleaned up, that one would be molded and casted. Looks like the person in charge...

Re: Ghost of Christmas Past (1951)
Nicely done and added to the Gallery. Showed it to my son-in-law (also FDNY) trying to show him that there is life after the firehouse. Keep it up. Hehe Thanks! I did 21 yrs in the field and another few on light duty. They got rid of me just before the magic 25 yrs  Depending on where he's st...

He has a way of doing skin that's down and dirty yet highly effective - IMHO.
I developed a sort of hybrid from what he shows.
Thanks Tim! I "found" this guy on You Tube, and his channel is called Groundeffected.

Ghost of Christmas Past (1951)
I bought John Dennett's latest Christmas Carol bust too late to get it finished for last year. So I wanted to make sure I didn't miss out this year. It's Michael Dolan as the 1951 Ghost of Christmas Past. My dilemma with this one was all the white on white on white. So the skin was done only slightl...
