Captain America and The Red Skull

Just finished these two. They've been sitting in my collection for about 18 years. If you can tell me anything about the producer or sculptor please post.

Thanks,

Paul

Re: Wonderfest 2019 - looking forward to photos . . .

Buc, I was able to see everything fine on Safari using my home computer. Firefox is my default browser at work, and I'm getting the same error others mentioned, where I can only see the list of upcoming shows. Paul Just re-checked - is empty using Firefox - and usually works fine (show all the upcom...

Airbrush troubleshooting question

Hi, I just hooked up a new Paasche Raptor and I have an air leak coming out of the front of the airbrush. The trigger is in the off position and the needle and nozzle are seated. Neither of my other Paasches (Talon, Vision) do this when I hook them up. I took it apart and found a cracked nozzle, whi...

Re: name plaques for dioramas

I haven't done this myself, but here's one way I've heard: 1. Make a photocopy of the text/logo you want and size it appropriately. 2. Find a print shop that makes custom rubber stamps. 3. Ask them to make a rubber stamp of your text/logo and to reverse the image . 4. Once you have the image in rubb...

Re: Moebius Joker (and the rest of the collection to date...

Really nice work. I've heard a couple of people complain that the face sculpt doesn't look enough like Cesar Romero. (I was thinking that the eyebrows might need to be brought down and reshaped a bit.) But your paint job nails it. Did you do any re-sculpting to the face and/or hair, or is it just go...

Really hard to think of a character with cargo pants and a sweater.

J.R. "Bob" Dobbs from Church of the SubGenius, maybe?

Re: Is Diamond releasing Thor?

Bud, I asked a similar question on one of Diamond's Q & A sessions on Facebook. The reply I got was that they'd like to release more model kits, but only if they could get wider distribution for them. Haven't heard anything about Thor or any other model kits since then. I understand the Deadpool...

Nicely done, and a huge improvement over the original paint job.

Re: How would you fix this?

I would try to drill a small hole in the heel with a pin vise and insert and glue a pin and cut it to the proper length and then sculpt the heel with Aves around the pin.

Re: Cleaning a Sotar 20/20: What am I doing wrong?

Todd, Sometimes bubbling in the cup can be caused by not tightening down the front nozzle on the airbrush. The other possibility that occurs to me is that Badger airbrushes have a teflon seal hidden in the body of the airbrush. Using a cleaner that is too aggressive like lacquer thinner can cause th...

Need help: Koma Rampaging Hulk

Years ago I bought this kit from the sculptor off eBay, and decided to start on it now. It was covered in gray primer, so today I put it in a bath of Castrol Superclean and have discovered some major problems. The worst of them is that the right hand is mainly hollow and was only held together with ...

Netflix streaming question

This is a question for those of you who watch a lot of internet streaming video: Lately I've noticed a real slowdown in my internet speeds, and videos that I watch on my computer or through my Roku box take forever to load and watch, with tons of pauses for buffering. The one exception to this is Ne...

Re: Primer from Badger

I tried this out on a kit that had a few small areas that needed to be repaired. I didn't want to reprime and repaint the entire kit. I was able to simply mask off the rest of the kit, and this stuff covered very well. I like the fact that it is sandable and self-leveling. You can even brush it on b...

There's another brand called Purple Power which you can get at Wal-Mart and auto parts stores. It's the same stuff and does the same thing.

Nicely done. What is the scale (or height) of the figure?

Does anyone have a link to the kit producer/seller?
