Re: Vinyl Kit priming

I've used Tamiya spray primer on vinyl successfully. On vinyl, your color coats have to be acrylic; enamels won't dry at all.

Bride as Marilyn completed, and a question

Here are a few pictures of a Bride in a Marilyn Monroe pose that I just finished. I bought the kit at Wonderfest, but can't remember who from. Do any of you know the producer of this kit? https://i.postimg.cc/gn17Wv3T/Bride-of-Frank-4.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/4nNqb4JB/Bride-of-Frank-5.jpg https://i....

Is the fine detail on her ears raised, or just painted on? Looks great.

Re: Movies you like

I posted my list further up in this thread. Lately i've started another little project. Every month I send a DVD of a movie from the list to each of my (two) adult daughters. Doesn't cost much, and gives them a reason to think of their dad occasionally. I started with The Lost World, and by now I'm ...

B-A, well, gold and silver awards are engraved acrylic blocks , so they would not fit too well in a shadow box…
Did they switch to acrylic? As of last year, Gold and Silver had always been lead glass, a lovely but very heavy material.

Running Robot finished

At Wonderfest last year, I bought this cute model of a sprinting robot. He was missing a leg, so I contacted the sculptor, Eric Askue, and he sent me an STL file, which a friend was kind enough to print out for me. Parts all in hand, it didn't take much to get him together, and, after the usual sort...

I have made raised-letter nameplates a couple ways. The first, and simplest, is to cut the letters out of sheet plastic and glue them to the nameplate.
