I've got a lot of ticket stubs from the early '80s for the Summit in Houston, they were like $12 or $13 and then you had to pay $1 for parking. What a rip off.

Re: QUESTION: PAINT??? what is everyone using NOW????
Mostly Golden Liquid and Golden High Flow.
I'll also use Golden Open when I need something to stay wet longer.
I some use Derivan Matisse which is a acrylic tube paint from Australia. It's available at Jerry's Art-o-rama for a good price. Mostly for bases and big objects.

'Tis But a Flesh Wound
So a friend of mine 3D printed this and it's really, really rough and grainy. He made 2, so I am giving this one back to him. Being a perfectionist, I pondered for a long time, trying to figure out how to make it better. Finally, I just decided to do it quick and dirty and not even historically or s...

Does anyone have any expertise on Marilyn Monroe calendars and their value?
I found a calendar and put down a deposit, but I'm not sure now if it's worth it.
I might just let it go and find another one for less.
I've got some pictures and a write up if any of you guys can help out.
Thanks!

Re: 2023 Buildups: The Mondoshawan
This is really beautiful.
I have one in storage (between houses right now)
I got hung up on drilling and trying to light it with LEDs and got frustrated.
Maybe some day I can dig it out again.

Re: Wednesday (netflix)
I was considering dropping Netflix but this made me stick with it. Excellent series. The episodes directed by Tim Burton were very good and yes, the dancing scene was a definite highlight as was Wednesday playing a cello version of "Paint it Black." But the best part of Jenna Ortega's por...

Re: Problem with Paint Fading Over Time ?
This is why it's a good idea to use quality artists paints. They will have an ASTM lightfast rating. It varies by pigment, but for the most part, they should all hold up very well unless in direct sunlight for a long time.

The smaller the figure, the more shadow and highlight you have to add to make it look natural.
That said, some miniatures are overdone in my opinion, especially gaming pieces.

I'll use that Krylon satin clear transparent between layers, but my final coat when I want dead flat is still Testors Dullcoat.

That came out really nice. You did a great job.
Moebius has been coming out with some great kits lately. This one and the Death Dealer are grand slams and the Dracula with the victim is really cool also.

Re: Soul Hunter (75mm scale)
Looks very badass!
I think the instruction are wrong though. Looks like too many eyes got installed on the wolf leaving no eyes for the hunter!
Oh, and Windsor & Newton Series 7 Miniature are also very good quality brushes that hold a point for a long, long time.

Either sand it, rough it up with a file or drill some small holes.
You need something for the epoxy putty to get a grip on.
