Buckethead, Congrats on taking the plunge for a major kitbash. It's cool to set one down at a contest(Wonderfest perhaps) and hear the gasps from the other competitors! I do have take exception to your erroneous claim of it being the largest vinyl dinosaur kit though. That distinction belongs to the...

Re: James Earl Jones Passes..........
"We have the meat!" I heard the sad news on the radio today. He will be missed. I especially loved him in the Big Bang Theory. He was such a goofy character on that show, and I hope that was what his life was really like. Tay, You clearly don't know Mr Jones' voice at all. The Arby's voic...

Jm,
I'd second that sentiment on "will you be offering this up as a kit?". I'm interested in buying as well!
Sincerely,
Chris the cabbie

Re: What brand of acrylic paints is everyone using?
I use Tamiya for airbrushing as it isn't really good for brushpainting. I have found it thins beautifully with acetone and has many high value chroma colors. That way you can mix many colors from what they supply. If the colors are low chroma(is drab greyed out military colors) you cannot add chroma...

Taxi Driver kit mystery
Hi, Can anyone confirm that VtonyV produced a Taxi Driver kit? I came across one on eBay for a reasonable price, and high quality casting present and pulled the trigger. I have an Uma/The Bride kit from Kill Bill and the resin color and part finishing really suggests VtonyV is the producer. The scu...

Re: Airbrush Spitting...
You should also make a point to make sure your fluid nozzle is still good and not split or cracked. If that needle went through it at any time, it likely damaged it. Unless you use extreme magnification, you will not be able to tell. Spraygunner will sell you a Proconboy 770 needle and fluid nozzle...

Not sure.... I put a new trap on...but its a Harbor Freight one.... also new paint... Createx Bloodline...? I tried Apple Blossom ( Walmart) and seemed to spray a lot better... You have got to be kidding me! You stick Harbor Fright on a Micron airbrush?!? That's like sticking Yugo parts on a Lambo ...

What to do if a CH member sends a recast?
I recently bought a kit from a CH member and happened to have one of the same on hand. The reason for the purchase was so so castings and hope that the new one would be an improvement over what I had on hand already. Once the kit arrived I noticed a few things right off, the kit has weird texture pa...

New original design kits on eBay
Just an FYI for many of you looking for cool original design kits? Sandy Collora is posting his kits on eBay and I recently bought the "Shallow Water" Tibuneora kit and he even threw in the Tibuneora hatchling in the egg and 6 mini busts of the character that I plan on using to test out m...

Thanks for checking out the thread Rocketeer, oh yes, flying that old school flag now and then is good for the soul! Many thanks for the reminder on the pennies in his feet, I forgot to add that I had also rammed the cavity full of putty for extra strength! I've got a good start on the torso now wi...

Re: What to use to clean Future from an airbrush?
AZ, That's a new one for me but then again, I love using Acetone to thin my Tamiya & Gunze paints (I have the old big 23ml bottle rack on my workbench) and have never had an issue. I used to use the rubbing alcohol thinner but figured out that Acetone is cheaper and works FAR better. Also makes...

I guess you must really hate your family members to use Lacquer thinner to clean your brush indoors?! Why in the name of God would you use it when it isn't even soluble with Future? Or was this a lame duck attempt to be funny?

Re: What to use to clean Future from an airbrush?
When cleaning out Future from your airbrush, regular Isoprohpyl alcohol works fine but again- use water to rinse afterwards. I currently own 18 airbrushes and have some mighty sweet vintage shooters and proper care works wonders my friends!

Re: What to use to clean Future from an airbrush?
Hold up there Hoss! Be very careful in using the Windex as you will need to fully flush it out of the airbrush. the reason? Airbrushes are made of brass and as good as some are at chroming them, the insides are usually still bare brass. Ammonia and brass do NOT get along well and will pit the brass...
