Paying for Streaming Services ...
I honestly can't believe I'm even considering this but - I am trying to decide between ACORN TV or BritBox. I like mysteries, detectives, good drama, SciFi, and comedy with that low-keyed British Flair ! Not a big romance guy but a little is OK. I think they're both around $5 a month. Which one do y...

Looking for two busts !
The picture is from a recent figure show in Valencia, Spain. I am hoping that some wonderful kind soul out there in the world can provide me with the name of suppliers or a source for the "Mama..." figure in the front and especially for that beautiful Faun/Elf bust right behind her ... ? (...

Re: Beautiful plinths and bases
Sorry, Kev ! Just saw this today. Yep - they all seem to be in Europe. I don't think anyone is going to get rich selling bases for sculpts ! Too much of "I'd buy that if it was walnut instead of oak or if was maple instead of cypress or blue instead of red or 3" tall instead of 4", sq...

Re: Nightflyers - by George R.R. Martin of GOT fame
This series lost me in all the philosophizing and preaching. Too many long dry spells of dialogue and plot web-weaving ! Not saying it was bad show - just not my thing !

I have searched and searched here on the boards and just can't find this, but I know it's surely somewhere !
I need a "formula" for a nice healthy mild suntanned skin for Caucasians. Kind of the healthy girl-next-door skin tone.
What colors to combine ???
Thanks !

Re: tutorials on B&W painting
Kev and Beave - I guess I was just thinking to start with with white of light gray and go to black because darks cover lights better than lights cover darks. I'm lovin' the Ansel Adams theory, Kev !!

Re: Mortal Engines
I hear ya, AntMan ! It got hammered at the box office as well as crappy reviews. Outrageously expensive to produce (100 million dollars is what I've seen). Bat's chance in Hell that there will be a sequel with that loss. Too bad because I see there are 3 more books ! But - it's obvious with the lack...

Mortal Engines
I was pleasantly surprised at this movie. Excellent visual effects, good solid story line with some great plot twists, nice Steampunk feel to the buildings, aircraft, etc.. Good casting and darned good acting. This was a solid movie and can hold up to repeated viewings !

Nightflyers
I am struggling through episode 4 of this eagerly anticipated series written by George Martin (Game of Thrones). So far, for me anyway, it's a dud with slow-moving plot and long stretches of long-winded speeches and dialog. The story quickly evolved into the standard over-used "something unknow...

Re: Iron Fist on Netflix === Fri 17th March 2017
Hoping not to offend anyone here, but I just can't get past that Iron Fist is basically just one long Kung Fu movie with an occasional jab of a magic fist. Just can't buy him as a "superhero" and is certainly not worth a stand alone series. OK as part of the Defenders team, but not alone. ...

By all reports - Lon Chaney would endure great pain and discomfort for the sake of the accuracy and effects of his makeup.

October is horror movie month on TMC !
Check out the TMC Schedule online to see what times the movies are playing. They've pulled some rarely seen classics out of the vaults for this Halloween Season. * The restored version of Nosferatu. (Still all still photos corrected and computer enhanced, but the story line is followed and original...

Re: London After Midnight - Chaney
I checked out the two offerings on You Tube and they were quite good. After awhile you forget they are just production stills. Good soundtrack and silent movie period-correct title cards topped off the experience. One was around 43 minutes long and had better color and more photos. The other shorter...

London After Midnight - Chaney
I've never seen this movie and now I read that it is a "lost movie" and only stills remain. Is this true ?
If it is available, where ?
