That class made my whole weekend. I feel good about the progress I made.

Re: Best pastels on the market?
What are the best pastels on the market? Heck, what are the best uses of pastels and how do you apply them. I was reading on using them on a face and used a bit of water and it looked like mud :| I've taken the Wonderfest class and they haven't really gone into pastels. Would really like to hear so...

Does the brand name stuff have something in it besides coloring that makes it different? I believe its chemically the same product essentially. The reason I say this is that I have used cheap putty before and I can't tell any difference. It masks just the same. You can buy "real" Silly Pu...

Hello guys. I don't know if you guys already know about this site. It sells bulk silly putty without the brad name so you don't have to buy a bunch of the little eggs. http://www.puttyworld.com/classiccoral.html

In my experience, Easy Off is the only thing that works reliably. It will take it all off. Put it in a bag with the stuff so that it soaks really good.BlueRaven wrote:I would just soak it in Easy Off so you remove it all, and try again with a new can of primer.

Re: Painting Leather
Good post. I am getting ready to do a Nosferatu with a leather coat. I'm thinking of doing it in oils just for something different. Anybody do any leather with oils?

Templates huh...that sounds interesting The templates Larry is referring to are called "Organic" and are part of the Iwata/Artool line. http://www.iwata-medea.com/artool-series/texture-fx/ We used them in the Dino 101 class and everyone was pleased with them. You can pick them up from Tom...

Re: Mottling technique?
What are mottling templates? Try Stan Winston Studios' videos. Casey Love has a video on there on how to paint a bust that is great. Very detailed. Just what your looking for. Lots of mottling :) https://www.stanwinstonschool.com/videos/sculpey-painting-techniques-how-to-paint-aliens Looks good. Th...

Mottling technique?
Hello everyone. Does anyone know of or can point me to a good mottling tutorial? I have seen the basic David Fisher video but would like to see if anyone has something more complex. Thanks.

Re: Monster Diorama Help
If there's foam for the middle, durhams on the sides, and tile of some kind on the top to represent street, do you guys use something on the bottom of the whole thing to make it stable? I'm thinking foam wouldn't hold the weight that great.
Thanks for the help.

Is a wire hanger thick enough? I have this kit too and I was planning on using something thicker.
