I LOVE this! You did a fantastic job (as usual)! Man, when I get around to mine, I hope it turns half as well! Just amazing!

Re: My 1/350 Oberth class with shuttles
Thanks everyone! It was a fair bit of work, but I made it more complicated than it needed to be. Glad to hear the shuttles add something. I wanted to include them to create a sense of scale!

My 1/350 Oberth class with shuttles
Hi again everyone! Here is my 1/350 build of the Oberth class starship from Polar Lights. I used the name and registry for the USS Cochrane - a TNG era ship (and DS9). The Aztec Dummy masks were invaluable for painting this kit. I can highly recommend them. I also used Green Strawberry photoetch for...

This is very cool! It's too bad about the base, but it's not that noticeable to me! And you did a great job on the kit!

This is just such a great work! Not much I can add to what’s already been said, but terrific job on everything from the build to the photography and compositing!

Thanks everyone! It was a fun build in the end! People are right about that kit, though. Decent detail, but the sea can be very challenging to fill!

Thanks! It's the first 1/1400 kit I've built in at least two decades!

My 1/1400 Vor’cha from TNG/Deep Space Nine
Hi again everyone! Here is my 1/1400 build of and original issue of the old AMT Vor’cha kit (erroneously called called a K’Vort class in the early issues of the kit). It was the oldest Trek kit in my kit stash until I decided to build it this summer. I still had a bottle of Modelmaster pale green fo...

Re: T-Rex chasing Malcolm kit build
@tay666 Yes, it was a bit of a challenge to find colours that I thought were at least close enough. First, I mixed a base color, tried that, didn’t like it, and ended up going to a hobby store and finding something that was a close enough approximation to what I wanted. And even then it wasn’t perfe...

Re: T-Rex chasing Malcolm kit build
Thanks everyone! Malcolm is I think the figure is around an inch and a half tall (maybe more) But that’s just a rough guesstimate. Regarding the nameplate, I must confess that I just couldn’t get it to look right with all the various Jurassic Park logo colours. I went for what thought was second bes...

Re: T-Rex chasing Malcolm kit build
Thanks guys! It was quite a rewarding kit to build and paint! And Al, I do agree - the kit does a great job of capturing the feel of the scene in terms of being very dynamic!

T-Rex chasing Malcolm kit build
Hey everyone! Took a bit of a break from Trek modelling and it's been quite a while since I built a dinosaur kit! Here is my build of the X-Plus 1/35 scale JP kit of a T-Rex being lured away by Ian Malcolm. It's a well done kit, and is an excellent representation of the JP T-Rex! I made it for a fri...

Man, I can't recall. It's been so long. I do remember that he only did a couple of kits or so....kevtk135 wrote:Thanks guys!
Dr. Brad, do you happen to remember who put the kit out? I remember it was a guy’s name and not a Co. name - something like Davies or Davis...?
