Re: Iria x 3
They are all quite rare but the first one is by far the rarest. It is a resin model sold exclusively at the 1995 Wonderfest show in Japan.

Iria x 3
I have finally finished all the models of Iria from the Zeiram-movies that Takeya Takayuki has sculpted. All from the early 90s produced by the Falchion company. Two are vinyl, one is resin. https://i.postimg.cc/cHrsWTNk/11755.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/cH2dLYxx/11759.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/KjTxkzjn...

McVey Monkey King
Another one of Tony McVey's masterpieces. This kit is very special to me because I got it directly from him.

After many years of waiting in the shelf it's finally finished. This Mark Newman masterpiece ist the best werewolf sculpture IMHO. https://i.postimg.cc/9fdsy4Tx/13158.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/NMQSDgkQ/13162.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/mDVq60mC/13166.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/x8C7rtZ7/13168.jpg Thanks fo...

Re: Stargate Ra and Anubis
Thank you guys for your comments. The Stargate kits are resin kits from 1994. The castings weren't that good, especially the parts of Ra didn't fit very well and the resin was a bit brittle. Thanks to the Internet I found pictures of the movie props to get the colours right.

Stargate Ra and Anubis
These were the first garage kits that I ever saw and which brought me to this hobby nearly 30 years ago. Last year I finally had the time to build and paint them. They are still among my favourite kits. https://i.postimg.cc/sxVL4wf2/ra2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/153TgCYC/ra6.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/...

For the skin, I tried the blue and yellow washes method as shown in the Sideshow videos ( http://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/viewtop ... t=sideshow )

Mark Newman's Frankenstein Monster
This is my take on a true masterpiece from Mark Newman - a dynamic pose and great anatomy. I got it from him back in 2006. https://i.postimg.cc/SRS3y95n/frank5.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/nV2N3djB/frank6.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/xTdhhKM7/frank7.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/ZKD2SCLq/frank3.jpg Thanks for lo...

Thanks for all your feedback. It is very much appreciated. It is allways a challenge and a pleasure to have a great kit and try to do it justice.

Takeya Pumpkinhead
Finally managed to paint this Takeya masterpiece from the 90s. It isn't an easy kit to build (vinyl :? ). I had to fill it with wire and resin to stabilize it. Airbrush, brushwork and a lot of washes. https://i.postimg.cc/BvsSB0kW/pump2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/LXMKtBbx/pump3.jpg https://i.postimg.c...

Re: Bull Demon King
Thank you for your kind remarks. The paint job took a lot of hours of work with fine brushes and a lot of thin washes. But that‘s what I like about this hobby. To go slowly step by step to the result I had in mind.

Bull Demon King
Bull Demon King from Manomodels. A few years ago a young group of chinese sculptors (now http://www.manasworkshop.com/) produced very fine resin kits. This was sculpted by Iceberg as a companion piece to his Monkey King. Scale is 1 : 6. This is number 19 of 30. https://i.postimg.cc/bNrKywhy/ox1.jpg ...

Great choice of colours. I like the way you painted this guy.
Unlike Uncle Creepy it wasnt't sculpted by John Dennett. I sculpted him back in 2003 in Super Sculpey.

Thank you for your comments.
Painting this beauty was very satisfying.
Removing the dome wasn't easy but I was very careful and worked in little steps.

Takeya Big Alien Repaint
I stripped the prepainted statue and repositioned the arms and the fingers. Beneath the factory colour a lot of details were hidden. The paintwork is done with a lot of brown, green and blue washes and thin layers of white sprayed with an airbrush. The guy is rather big (45 cm) and heavy. https://i....
