The Adventures of Indiana Jones animated fan project
Over the past five years I've been working on and off on a little passion project called "the Adventures of Indiana Jones". I wanted to create the opening sequence of an animated show based on Indiana Jones. I finally wrapped it up and put it on youtube, so if you'd like, you can have look...

Super cool! How was the Bee's putty for you? Which kind did you use? (I believe there were different versions right?)

Cool statue! I hope you don't mind me asking, what is the filter you used on the photos, to get that sketchy effect?

Re: labelling silicone rubber molds
I'll have to try that one. I usually roll out a little slab of sculpting material, stick it to the wall of the mold and inscribe, backwards, the name of the mold, then pour the rubber. I know that's permanent.

Re: Do I need a vacum chamber?
I do mainly small scale molding and casting and a Vacuum Chamber is also very useful in the casting process for me. Before I put my molds in the pressure tank, I put them in the vac chamber, to suck out all the air and get resin in every nook and cranny of the model. I've only recently purchased the...

Re: WIP RIPLEY and ALIEN
Cool, I love Otto Schmidt's artwork. Would it maybe be better to straighten her left leg and move her left foot outwards so her leg becomes more diagonal? Right now there are a lot parallel lines in the lower part of the sculpt. Just a thought.

Re: Some help with finding a good scribing tool
I thought that scribing tools had special bits, like diamond powder coated or something like that, but it appears that is not the case and they're just stainless steel points? Never knew that, I guess I was looking for something special that actually isn't that special. It opens possibilities for ma...

Re: Some help with finding a good scribing tool
Thanks guys, I found one online. It's not the one above, but a different kind of model, let's see how it works for me. Thanks again for the help.

Some help with finding a good scribing tool
Does anybody have any experience with a scribing tool? I'm trying to find one online, but it's one of those things that comes in many shapes and I would have preferred to see it in person before deciding to get it or not. I will probably use it mostly on figures, not so much for technical parts, tho...

Re: Weird reaction with Silicon Mold Max rubber. Help?
Yes, I know, I had to learn that the hard way myself. I've ruined many pieces in the past, thinking I could cut a corner. Now that I'm more patient and thoughtfull, the process is actually kind of fun. It's a little like solving a puzzle (at least when you start out). Happy to say, the first silicon...

Re: Weird reaction with Silicon Mold Max rubber. Help?
Guys, I'm so glad I asked this here. I could't sleep because of it all and before I decided to post my issue on the Clubhouse (in the middle of last night), I was actualy ready to tear down the clay bedding and do it all over again with regular clay. Thankfully, I decided to go here first, go to bed...

Weird reaction with Silicon Mold Max rubber. Help?
Hi guys. I'm trying to make a silicon mold using Smooth-On Mold Max 30 for the first time. It's going to be a two part mold, and I was planning to use DAS modelling clay to embed the sculpt in. I tested my new Mold Max 30 on a little bit of DAS, to see if it would affect curing, but to my surprise, ...

Re: Slave Leia vintage action figure sculpt
Here's a little update. I've been busy piecing together my own casting set-up. Here's the paint master I cast and painted over the weekend. Please keep in mind the final figure will be cast in flesh colored resin, so the skin won't look as rough as this one. This is purely to test which colors I wan...

Re: Advice on a compressor for a pressure pot
No worries, as you might have noticed I was away from this thread anyway. Yes, I did get that SmoothOn pot in the end. Indeed it is quit big and expensive, but I know if I was going to follow a tutorial on how to convert a high pressure cooker, or paint pot I'd just mess it up and wouldn't be the pr...

Advice on a compressor for a pressure pot
I know pressure pots is a much talked about subject, but looking for answers on internet still didn't turn up the desired answer, so I decided to open a new topic here. Hopefully the molding and casting guru's from the clubhouse can help me out. Basically, I've been struggling with silicones, resins...
