Re: Bandai 1/35 Batmobile help

Well, a Japanese contact came through and tonight I am holding the BATMAN BEGINS tumbler kit. It is amazing-- 73 1/35 scale pieces. I also found a web page that translated Japanese colour words to English. The Tumbler base colour is 80% Midnight Blue, 15% Blue, 5% White. Wow, that's a surprise to me...

Re: Bandai 1/35 Batmobile help

Thank you. I suspected as much after I was unable to locate any images or product notices.

A shame, it would have completed the collection to date.

Bandai 1/35 Batmobile help

I've been away for some time, but have a huge favor to ask:

1) Has anyone translated the Bandai paint codes for the 1/35 Keaton and Kilmer Batmobile models?

I am still looking for the Clooney 1/35 kit.

Thanks very much!

Help me build the Arrow Car!

I'm a sucker for Green Arrow. He's such a Mort, literally; designed by DC's uber-mench Mort Weisinger as a guy who has trick arrows, a side kick, an arrow-plane (the original name of the car with retractible wings), an arrow-cave... you get the idea: Mort Weisinger was not an "idea man". B...

Hey there! One tip I can give you is to purchase a "scriber", a long metal file that ends in an incredibly sharp claw. You slowly trace a line on the model where you want a groove to go and it removes a sliver of plastic or resin with each tracing. I bought mine from the metal foil people....

FINAL REPORT

Happy New Year! With the interior finished, I was ready to hit the last details: BMF key locks, the twin armed wiper, and a PORSCHE crest. The key locks were very easy, thanks to a circle guide. Then I went looking for my windshield wipers... ...and couldn't find them. Somewhere, in this big, new ho...

Mike, You did a great job! The face looks great. You selected a second color for the utility belt. Any reasons behind the choice? Looking at your build makes me regret getting the fabric cape version of the Keaton model. I have an unbuilt Joker in the vault. Someday I'll get brave enough to do figur...

WEEK XVI: Little Nellie Declassified

A very busy week, with an earlier-than-usual report! I put in my YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and started to assemble all of the internal components of the build. I sliced up a bunch of aluminum tubes for the various arms and jacks used for the turbines. Lots of crazy glue and careful repositioning of the ja...

Week XV: OPERATION TWO STEPS

After last week's tedium, I treated myself to a CASINO ROYALE viewing and plugged myself back in to the garage (Man, I want that 2007 Mondeo he drove to the Casino). This week was very busy, with a lot of emphasis on the turbines. Again, going to the schematic, there is a connecting yoke that attach...

Week XIII: OPERATION AIRBOURNE III

This week's objective was to fill in the large blank space in the rear of the car. The schematic is sketchy on the details, so I just decided to improvise the internal stuff, meeting up with the schematic details of the turbine and turbine support struts. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y40/Daikins...
