Re: UKGK - 28th SEPTEMBER 2013 - THE BLUE CAP INN, SANDIWAY
Dean - there are loads of photos on the U.K.G.K. Facebook page and they show all the lovely, lovely goodies that were for sale or were just being shown off. I saw an original - yeah, f**k me an ORIGINAL - Takeya Alien Pile and also a Mano Grasshopper GK kit (?) that was absolutely the mutts nuts. Ch...

Totally right Keef - loads of tables and loads of choice: thanks for that Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly combo and the Frankie wall hanger! Great to see Benn and Joanne with their stuff, Andy Cope's weird little character characatures were amazing (in hindsight I must get a Mr Bean). Loved the sculptor dis...

UKGK - 28th SEPTEMBER 2013 - THE BLUE CAP INN, SANDIWAY
Oh, yes....boys and girls......the social event of our UK resin calendar is but four months away (Over 120 sleeps!!!!) and the resin fund is looking healthy. Once again a chance to meet with the aristocracy of resin nutterage from all over the UK - and parts of Europe if one of our Spanish bretheren...

Done. My favourite charity after a certain one linked to the Royal Marines. Keep an eye out for Yoda and Lanky, two bootnecks who are doing that run both with 120 lb of cement on their backs....if they come home then Bryn and his H4H brothers will be laughing at what i will have to cough up.......!!...

Personally not noticed it - unless this rise is planned not yet occurred? Depends on how you get it posted. I had one of our Colonial model suppliers send me a standard 1:6 figure from New York state by air mail and it cost around $25-30. I had another send me one from New Jersey (big heavy b**tard,...

Re: Am I a glutton for punishment?
Not me. Very poorly cast kits go to the pile that will never be built, eventually sold. But some are so poorly cast I'm embarrassed to even sell them. Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of free time and I'd rather spend the little I have building and painting, not filling pin holes or re-sculpt...

Re: UK IPMS Nationals Shock!
Fantastic kit - got sort of a Time Machiney thing going on, only a leggy lass not a crusty old Rod Taylor or whoever..definitely one I could gawp at all day. It is one thing I do not like about some pockets of the hobby - IPMS is only an example - that snobbery says that sci-fi or scratch builds or ...

Cracking day out and nice to put faces to names - but some faces should stay behind the internet!!! Missed out on a couple of good kits through bad show tactics, but bagged a Boxerdog "Taken" and a Killers "Lone Wolf" and "Reaper" which are hoofing kits. My legs hurt li...

The nearest hotel and seemingly most popular is just across the road and down a bit from the venue:

Several of us booked in already. This isn't going to be Resintopia but I intend to make it like it is!!!!

Can't wait for the show - there is a Premier Inn nearby which I will book into, I think the bulk of the lads are booking in there. The Craft Centre where it is being held this year is a doddle to find and plenty of things for the wife (or husband) and kids to do while we Resinheads get with it. Coun...

Picture the scene - nestled in the Cheshire countryside, a golf club of some renown. 100+ resin headed loonies all out for a laugh and a good day and boy did we have one. Free tea and coffee. Bacon banjoes on tap and the biggest collection of resin models I have seen in years in the one room. And th...

Stonie - I don't want to put Joe under any pressure to complete this project so I would rather keep it under wraps in case it is now a dead duck. You can ask him when you see him, ask him about the big project he was telling me about when we were sitting in Dave's flat slurping tea. Mind you, that w...

Re: UKGK Show 30th October 2010
Looking forward this this resin fest, I have an Alice, a Kong and at least one Sweeney Todd on order (monkeying with that Janus Karloff Pierce piece has given me an idea for bashing Sweeney Todd into a sitting character as well as the standing). Should be a hoot, spoke to Dave and things are rocking...
