Re: Shipping models to Crown Plaza

I once shipped a build-up to the hotel several years ago using FedEx and it arrived partially broken, even when packed quite well. Ever since, I've designed my builds so they can be broken down and placed in a box suitable for carrying onto a plane and fitting under the seat in front. I've never had...

Re: Is There a Jerseyfest 2024 Planned???

I've seen postings on Facebook that there will not be a show in 2024. I don't know of any details, so maybe one of the show organizers can confirm this.

Re: Rest in peace "Night-Owl" RICK EVANS

I can remember discussions with Rick from as far back as 1999 when I first attended WonderFest. He was a fixture at the show, and always had some interesting nugget to share due to his encyclopedic mind. It will be weird not seeing him at future shows. Thanks to all his kind dedication to the hobby,...

Re: Black Mirror season 6 (netflix)

All in all, a great new season of episodes! I especially liked Demon 79 as it had a good level of character development that is often more subdued in other episodes ;-)

Re: How are your 2023 model contest entries coming along ?

For someone coming from So. CA, what's the best way to take a 1/6 figure to WF? Ship, take with you, find a transporter...???? Having traveled by air to WonderFest for the last 20+ years, I would highly recommend taking the entry on the plane with you to ensure the best chances of it arriving safel...

Re: Places to go out to eat around the Hotel

It's been a few years since I've been back to WF.... looking for recommendations of places for supper. BBQ places is my leaning towards, but open to other ideas. Thanks!! Mark's Feed Store on Bardstown Road has been the "go to" place for excellent BBQ for the last several years--highly re...

Re: The Book of Boba Fett

Boba seems tired of being a bounty hunter, and wanting to settle down and establish something--interesting character development that I wasn't expecting. I'm enjoying it as well, so to hell with the Haters

What we Learned at the 2021 Edition of the "Suite Life."

--That sugar cookies with "Baby Yodas" on them are simply awesome! (thanks again Mrs. Seevers) --That Greg Nicotero and Marta Kristen are welcome to hang out any time! --That despite CV-19, we modelers are a loyal bunch and came out in great numbers to support the show --That the moon does...

Re: Decision time...

Just for the record, I didn't cancel and hoped for the best. Good decision! Great to see everyone and experience the 'fest. There were a lot of regulars and friends missing which left a definite void. Understandable. Looking forward to next year! Glad you decided to make it Jim! I was pleasantly su...

Re: Decision time...

Several states are opening up, but still cautioning that folks wear masks, even if vaccinated. It sure would've been better if the show were moved to the fall, but I think the current hotel situation has the show locked in unless the state or locality makes a change between now and then.

Re: Wonder Woman 1984

Watched it on Xmas Day with my stepson and we were disappointed in it. Vert slow first hour and I thought it was trying too hard to be some sort of Xmas feel-good movie. For me, the after credit scene was the highlight of the entire film
