Re: BEST FOR VINYL?
Shawn, whatever you use, test it on a piece of scrap first. I've used Krylon on some vinyls and it worked fine, others and it was slightly tacky. My go to now for Vinyl is Tamiya white or grey spray can primer. Mr. Surfacer spray can will also work (it's what Horizon recommended years ag on their ki...

66 Mustang with only 70,000 original miles (totaled after some idiot pulled out right in front of me..back in '92)
65 Mustang Fastback Beater - nickeled and dimed me to death, sold it for a decent amount to pay for a new car in my early 20s....
Still wish I had one or both of those!

Re: New 1:9 Alien Queen kit coming from Polar Lights
Read the article with Jaime in the recent AFM, it sheds some light on the figure side of Round 2. Sales have been very disappointing on Wolverine and Superman, I'm sure that is a big part of it. Well, that to me is because there are so many incarnations of Marvel superhero stuff out there, that one...

I'm not too surprised. That would have been one very expensive kit to do in Styrene.dj53 wrote:You'll be able to save a few more bucks... the Alien Queen is also cancelled...

Re: Missing kit parts question
Just started assembling a kit (issued 2011, no longer in production, but very widely available) and have found that I am missing a piece. I contacted the manufacturer, and was told that I'd need to cover the shipping costs. Is this customary? It's not unusual. The only manufacturer that I know of t...

Definitely, Tom. Gently I go with popcorn in hand. :P LOL! Honestly I was surprised by the Wizard of Oz announcement, I really didn't think there was a market for it. Same for Thor.....so to see them cancelled is not a surprise to me. Figures are such a small niche in the hobby. Hopefully R2 can mi...

Re: Oh, this makes my heart ACHE!
Low sales on Superman and Wolverine killed them....
I bought a supes, but didn't really care for the Wolverine kit. Both have been shelf sitters at the LHS. Owner tells me Sci-Fi sells, but figures, not so much.

Re: GLUING VINYL KITS
Jack, try Polyzap super glue. I use it on all my vinyls, never had any pop loose. I always wash and dry the vinyl first before gluing to wash off any release. http://www.richmondrc.com/vma/common/imagescommon/pacall/polyzap_20041114_169w75d.jpg Some guys have sworn by this stuff, I have never used i...
