Re: Don't mess with me, I'm a Rock ! WIP
great job Pat! mixing 3d and traditional is a nice method, I like it a lot myself. Very useful mix of the old and the new.

Re: Cx5 sculpting wax by Beane Industries
oh it is. Had mine since 2014. I got the Soft and modded it a bit ,just to add a bit more resilience. If I could afford to, i'd happily buy some more.......

Re: Sculpting in wax - need suggestions
I own 4lbs of the soft grade, it's a great material and has the boon of being able to be re-positioned by immersing on hot water; I imagine the Hard can do the same but likely takes more heat to do so. I'd estimate the Soft to be slightly harder than a Chavant Hard Grade clay. I like CX5S . Wish i'd...

Not as good as fresh putty but allowed you to use the old stuff and make it sticky again. I imagine that the Alcohol thinners that Aves and MS use would do the s...

Re: Sculptable 3D printing?
hey no worries Buddy. I'll be waiting too to see how much it hits the market at.
... if I get a printer before that, I may try that wax filament for 50 bucks and see. Might be a fun experiment..... we'll see.

Re: Sculptable 3D printing?
cool! i'd be interested to hear about your experience if ya do Steve. :) If it's good, then I can jump on board as a starter. As some one who believes in volume over max profit, I do hope ABI manages to pitch the 1.75 CX5 at a similar price. otherwise we're back to Techno Pop Sculpture where we roug...
