Thanks Frank. I think there have only been two of these finished that I know of. I plan to document as much as I can because I fear a lot of these kits may not get built just out of shear intimidation of it. It's a great resin kit, not for a beginner, but anyone who has built a few models and has some tools could do it.

Stand by for weekend updates.

You bet! I have read from the Beginning because it is such a huge kit and project, too. So I have lots of interest how you will handle this beast!

Here you go Vader. I just received a test print of the engine mesh inserts from my 3D printer buddy. They turned out better than before and I have actually signed off on these parts. Final production parts will be done in black. There are very few artifacts to clean up and should be "install ready" with just a few minutes of clean up, if any.

I plan on having him do 5-10 complete sets of inserts, or more if there is demand. I'll probably sell them for around $10 a set. I'll know more on a cost once I have the final set of black inserts in hand. Probably Monday.

That's cool Vader, I kinda figured as much! LoL

If anyone has any questions please PM me. I don't want this to turn into a sales thread. I'll post a proper thread for that when I have more info on costs and availability.

O.K. here is the latest update on my 3D file for my bridge for the Salzo Galactica. I am turning the file over to another artist who has the time to finish it up. If there is enough interest he will put the bridge up on Shapeways for anyone who wants one, but, he needs to know if there is interest to do so. So, if you want a more accurate 3D printed replacement bridge for your 1/2 SS Galactica please post in this thread on the SSM forum. I want to try and keep all the interested parties in one place for him for him to see. I'll direct him here as well.

Great work! Seems to me that 3D printing will rule more from day to day. Do you plan to make more pieces for the kit this way?

Nope, that's a render as well. I'm ordering my bridge in the morning. I know some have already ordered them.

I've had more parts made for the Salzo Galactica. The parts are the two top domes.

And a sneak peak at the next part coming up....

And these are renderings, too? With what program do you sculpt? This looks excellent!
