AT-M6 on Crait

#1 Post by KathyD »

This is the Bandai AT-M6 kit - great detail for something so small, just 2.5 inches tall.

The base is meant to suggest there are other units ahead to the right and left, attacking the Rebel base on Crait

Very well done. The base is ingenious.

All I see is the word "image" instead of the actual pics.

Looks great! Hard to believe it's only 2.5 inches tall.

You won't be calm when see what I left on your law!

This happens to me some times, can't see pics for some reason then go back and, bam, there they are. Odd. Glad you got to see them, pretty cool little dio. KathyD did a good job! I saw the movie but didn't really understand the red trails. The new SW kind of left me behind.

Hehe.
I was a little confused about it too when I saw the trailers, and it was only mentioned briefly in one scene (that I noticed) where one of the rebels runs his finger over a red mark, tastes it and says to the guy next to him "Salt..." But yeah, I was so wanting a good movie. But it seems they put a lot of emphasis on minor stuff. Oh well it is what it is.

Agree that it is a cool dio. Simple but says it all.

Thanks for the kind comments.

I actually enjoyed Last Jedi (and Solo) - I've kind of accepted that the new films won't be a repeat of "my" Star Wars, there'll be more themes aimed at a new generation.

And I got the idea of a white salt crust over a different colour layer. Brine pools can turn pink due to algae and brine shrimp, so didn't seem too much of a stretch to have layered colours of salt/minerals that have built up. Plus it made for an aesthetically pleasing battle imho :)

The problem I have with the new SW is all the CGI stuff. They just throw too much at you and it's so much action so fast it's just too much to ingest and follow. Probably this old brain of mind just can't keep up anymore, I dunno. Too old fashion maybe? I miss the physical models. :( (wonder where that comes from?) A buddy loaned me Rouge One and I liked that one. I even bought Bandai's K-2SO. Probably the only "new" Wars kit I'll buy. 8)
