I'm not much on Batman but want to get a Polar Lights Batmobile. I see there are several kits to choose from and somewhat confused. What I need is the kit # for the kit with the photo etch. I assume this is the better(?) of the kits. I'm sure it's the same plastic parts, just with more up grades? Or is there a better kit than the PL?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Need help with Batmobile
This what I can glean from a quick perusal of the Web:
POL881 is the deluxe version. It has the photoetch, optional V8 or turbine engines, and is molded in white. Includes figures.
POL920 Molded in black. Includes figures, stated to be new (re-sculpts of original figures?).Review
POL824 Snap kit, pre-painted body. Includes figures. Review
POL837 Molded in black. V8 engine. No figures.
POL907 Two-piece set. Appears to be 824 and 837 in one box.
Ah, here's a great comparison: http://www.scalemodelnews.com/2015/08/b ... scale.html
PS: It's hard not to feel that they may have oversaturated the market

Thanks Rocketeer! Yes, I used the net but found some contradictions and just got tired of trying to sort it all out (sooo many different kits, gees). I figured "Batman people" could tell me quickly and easily. Thanks for the kit #!

Re: Need help with Batmobile
Don't quote me on this, but as I recall, Polar Lights did two Batmobiles. One was an original-ish design that sorta looked like the Barris Batmobile from the '60s television series (Barris himself refused to license a kit of his Batmobile). The second was a repop of the Aurora Barris Batmobile, released when Barris finally allowed it to be licensed.
I believe the Barris version would be the more prized, although it's not difficult to find from what I can tell.

Re: Need help with Batmobile
Originally Polar Lights reissued the old Aurora 1/32 TV Batmobile (that is, the Barris one), and then they shelled out for a new tool for a 1/24th version of the TV Batmobile (Barris).
They also at one point issued a 1950s Batmobile, which was quite a nice kit. (http://theclubhouse1.net/contest/daikins.htm) The design was copied from a Horizon 1950 Batmobile resin kit (http://www.batmobilehistory.com/toys/c5 ... mobile.gif); I don't know whether they paid Horizon for the design or not.
And this 1960s "Comic Book" Batmobile, which you mentioned: http://culttvman.com/main/shawn-macleod ... batmobile/

Re: Need help with Batmobile
I have the diecast Johnny Lightning 1/24 scale 1950 and 1960 DC Comics Batmobiles.
You can see pictures in my thread here if you're interested: http://theclubhouse1.net/phpBB3/viewtop ... 0&t=106073
Anyway, getting back to your topic, I also have the deluxe POL881 kit in my stash.
It looks to be a great kit. Lots of optional parts for the two engine variants to go along with the stainless steel photo-etch.
The Batman and Robin figures are in a separate bag and appear to be resin cast; the instructions say to assemble them with CA.
You even a couple of penguin's umbrellas (one closed and one open) for that episode where he steals the Batmobile.
Anyone who wants to see what's in the box just let me know and I'll take some pics.
