MPC Strange Change Vampire

#1 Post by Paul Helfrich »

Here's the MPC FunDimensions "Strange Change" Vampire. The "Watch it Change" mechanism is a wind-up deal with rubber bands. In practice, I found that the fit of the kit was way too poor for the close the lid/open it again and-it's changed-from-a-hideous-corpse -to-a-sinister-vampire gimmick to really work as advertised. I'd be afraid to have so much torque on the rubber bands that rapid rotation would damage the figures. However, I can change them manually, as you see in the photos.

Very cool.
This is the first time I have ever seen the kit built-up.

And you did a great job with it.

Thanks for sharing.

Glad they reissued this kit. its a bit sentimental,it's the first
kit I remember doing with my dad. Going to build it with my kids and then give it to him on Father's Day.
BTW that came out great.
Its not just a hobby...its an addiction

The instructions even say "Have Dad bend the wire for you." :)
