Bram Stoker's Dracula

#1 Post by Night-Owl »

Greetings! I've been wanting to do a kit based from how the count is descrided in the book and finally got around to it. This was done with a Barnabas Collins body with the collar tweaked a bit, a heavily modified Aurora Dracula head and a leftover Monarch Nosferatu base. A thanks to Tom Parker for letting me know that the Aurora Dracula head fits on the BC kit. As always quesions and comments welcomed.

That is REALLY cool Rick! I think the Barnabas MAY just give the Aurora Jekyll a run for it's money for "most conversion sets available*"... Here's a thought; pretty sure the book described long pointy nails and hair on the palms of the hands. PRETTY sure the Werewolf hands would fit the Barnabas kit.
You should DEFINITELY consider putting it under rubber! :D

To me, this is a shining example of how and why this hobby can be so much fun. A little inspiration, a little creativity, a little mix-and-match, and the results are a brilliant build-up that is both unique and familiar at the same time. I particularly like the way you chose (whether it was intentional or not) to light the kit for the photographs from the figure's left--it gives the impression (to me, anyway) that Dracula is raising his left hand to shield his eyes from the light. Excellent work all around!
The older I get, the better it was.

Thanks Zombie61! The lighting was accidental but it works for the kit.
