Has anybody notice the flag in the kit was cut short when packaged. Does anyone know exactly how long the flagpole was and what is the diameter of the pole? Also, can you suggest an online store or hobby shop where you can buy the size required to fix the mistake.

Great eye. I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out.
Check the build of it on Youtube. When he unboxes the kit, you can see that the flag pole is too short. When he shows the unpainted dry fitted kit, he's attached a black piece of something to the flag pole - the rest of the kit is glow. The video should give you an approximate idea of how long the rest of the pole should be.
Do you have the kit? If so, you could go to a stationary store (Staples) and get a circle template. Use it to determine the exact diameter of the pole.
They make all different diameters of styrene rods and any good hobby store should have them. Call ahead to save yourself an unnecessary trip.
