Halloween (Polar Lights) abandoned rotted look

#1 Post by Ken Kwil »

Just finished this Halloween kit today. Chris White box art. 1/8 scale. I wanted this Polar Lights Kit to have an abandoned rotting look to the porch and surrounding grounds. The model is painted with Testers enamels. Airbrushed and dry brushed. Things to look for... beer cans and weeds, nails popping up on the steps, dirt instead of grass, broken railing and lattes, pumpkin top opened, added candy, nameplate, cracked-up sidewalk. And whatever else you might spot. Super detailed this one. Just trying to capture that deserted warn look of an abandoned house. The latest Halloween was my inspiration for this model. I actually like the movie. Fan of all the Michael Myers movies. Enjoy!

Great job. Love the extra details like peeling paint and blood on the railing. Especially fond of the PBR cans on ground. Nice touch.
