So are they?

The Aurora Prehistoric Scenes book is reportedly still progressing, but I don't know about any possible future styrene productions. Dencomm confirmed that sales of the long-anticipated Monster Scenes bases were disappointing.

Yea, I think Dennis Prince is doing more like Scott at Monarch - being a little more low-key and being sure he has a sellable product.

I think if all we see is the Prehistoric Scenes book I myself will be happy. Atlantis and Round 2 are probably going to be the biggest suppliers of figure type kits in the forseeable future.

Yeah, I think Dennis stepped way back.
The website has been gone for a couple years now. Which is sad, as it was a good reference site.
And from what I can tell searching here
http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe? ... lj4on2.1.1

All the trademarks are dead for both Monster Scenes and Prehistoric Scenes.

A shame - I know Dennis had big plans back when we talked to him at Wonderfest. Unfortunately The Monster Scenes kits didn't become a big hit, plus the Dungeon and Animal Pit molds turned into a big headache.

At least another book will be a smaller risk to put out.

He let go of the trademarks? Wow. I'm very sorry to hear that, I hoped he had more up his sleeve. I heard rumors a long time back that he was trying to come up with the resources to do another run of the figures using the Moebius molds, but I guess that's never going to happen unless someone else gets involved. Glad I got them while I could.

This is a darn shame. I liked his new take on hanging Skeleton, Cat and Rabbit. I also am glad he accomplished something no one else either could, or wanted, to do...he resurrected MS, and got the long awaiting final two monster scenes dioramas from the Aurora Molds produced.
