Star Trek Mugato

#1 Post by mach7 »

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this, I don't post here often.

This is the resin Mugato conversion for the Moebius Kogar kit.

I used Magic sculpt to join the parts, some sculpting was required. A new thing for me.

Paint is Tamiya. Multi layered spray followed by a light wash and some dry-brushing.
Getting the fur to look good was a challenge, but I think it came out ok.

The face/hands/spine were brush painted and then washed. The eyes have a coat of micro krystol klear for some depth.

I almost never do figures but this was a very fun and challenging build.

I still need to get that conversion set.
You did a great job on the blending on this.

Great to see one finished. Thanks for sharing.

I waited months for Cult to get him back in stock. It's not an easy conversion kit to find!

I am sure Steve waited until there was enough interest to make another run worth the effort.
That, or he was just really busy with everything he has going on.
