Escape from the Crypt - (or Dungeon)

#1 Post by tay666 »

Hey, threw together a quick video of the 'Zap Action' on this classic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHgmgXutZvM

Will be throwing together the pages for this kit soon (ish)

For those that want a bit of a sneak peak, here are the posts I made about the build while I was working on it.

Your buildup looks good!
Question: Do they give a shovel and ax with the kit?

Shovel, axe, and pick. Though the pick won't work to trigger the coffin.

One advantage to doing a quick easy build like this first, is that when I get ready to do a more detailed version, I already know what to watch out for when building it.

I plan on doing a 'glow version' and a 'good version' of all these kits.
Mainly because that glow plastic just makes me feel like a kid in the 70's again.
But I also want to see these on my shelf nicely detailed and weathered.

While this is a great advantage ...
"One advantage to doing a quick easy build like this first, is that when I get ready to do a more detailed version, I already know what to watch out for when building it." I think that the biggest advantage is that no matter what happens after that, you have actually completed a kit you can display, look at and enjoy and just feel good that you've accomplished building something. I hope to have that wonderful feeling again someday myself.....

You aren't wrong.
It's nice putting one in the done column, and getting something off the 'to do' pile.
