Kino to Release THE QUATERMASS XPERIMENT!
If you're not on Facebook 24/7 and would like to know, Kino Lorber Studios has just announced that they will release THE QUATERMASS XPERIMENT (aka THE CREEPING UNKNOWN) on Blu-ray on December 2. The early Hammer Films classic (produced several years before THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN) stars Brian Donlevy as Professor Quatermass, Jack Warner, Margia Dean, Gordon Jackson, David King-Wood and Lionel Jeffries. The film was written and directed by the legendary Val Guest (THE DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE, WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH). Kino has licensed thia United Artists release from MGM (who previously issued it as a barebones MOD disc), and it will of course be in HD.
Travelers to unknown regions would be well-advised to take along the family dog. He could just save you from entering the wrong gate.

Good to know! It really is a very effective ScFi film with a killer performance by Richard Wordsworth as a surviving astronaut who has not long to survive, at least not as himself.

Looking forward to this. Still need to catch up to getting the other Hammer Blu-rays released in Region A.
