Miguel Ferrer passes on...

#1 Post by Tim Fortuna »

Loved him in Twin Peaks, Hot Shots Part Deux and especially Robocop. Been trying to see the Nightflyer for awhile with no luck.
Always entertaining, he will be missed.

Always liked to see him in a film even when his character was a scumbag.
Nightflier was a great little film, but without him in it I don't think it would have been nearly as good.

Just dug out my old recording of Night Flyer and watched it again. Excellent performance. The scumbag characters Miguel played seem all too human and in a sad way vulnerable, you can't really hate them.

Snap.

THAT and Robocop are the 2 strongest memories I have of his acting - but he seemed to get around quite a bit.

My best memory of him was actually getting to meet him.

I was at a San Diego Comic Con, and happened to spot Bill Mumy, (Will Robinson from 'Lost in Space'),
and asked him to sign my "Comet Man" comic that he has done for Marvel. He says, "Hey, let me
get my partner over here to sign it too. And here comes Miguel Ferrer. Blew me away, as I didn't realize
that he had a part in it too.

And as anyone would guess, they were two of the nicest guys you'd want to meet. Sad to know
one of them is gone.
