I was really torn between that and Jordan Peale's Get Out. I'm glad that Del Toro won, but they were both amazing films.

watched it last night... meh!

(thinking it might be my fault... was pretty over hyped since it
came out..& the oscars buzz & all...etc...think I might have been taken in
a bit. Wasn't up to excitement that I thought it would be.)

pretty much agree w/ these:

THE GOOD:

There's A LOT of good in this movie, the story is enthralling, if just a little long winded, the overall ambiance of the film is amazing

THE BAD:
There are 2 scenes that I PERSONALLY could have done without ... they weren't necessary to the story, or the character development, so it wouldn't have hurt the film to edit them both out, as neither served any real purpose, and it would have helped the film which at times seem to drag a little.
re: The Bad... not sure if our scenes are the same... but I'd like to say to Del... I know
you can go there... but do.you.have.to ?

Overall it was okay. Abe was the best part.
(ohhh Fahrenheit 451!! That's where I saw him in!!) (was bugging me)
