again, says someone in 2020... but maybe in his time, he wasn't as racists as other people.
Who knows...in his time, he shows up about a 2 on the 1-10 scale! :)

Will check out HBO and see if I can catch it on demand.

And that right there was my argument. If your going to have a scale oh he was anti-Semitic but not as anti-Semitic as hitler as a qualifier. Come on man, he was a racist you wanting to qualify it oh not as bad as some other evil bastard does not change that. And why do that? He did some great books but as a human being he was a sc*mbag. And he shouldn't get a post mortem cleansing. White washing history just allows for evil thoughts and evil deeds to happen again.

probably a good idea but not on my account. That was my last post on the matter. The f**king world keeps changing but the people stay the same.

So . . . back on topic . . .

S01E06 - "Meet Me in Daegu"

Yet MORE variation - and filling in the gaps (so to speak). Another roller-coaster ride of shock & emotion - beautifully executed as always. So intense.

Certainly a different way of looking at Korean food that's for sure.

She's a foxy lady! (apologies to Mr. Hendrix).

S01E07 - "I Am"

This one was a bit "out there". "Twilight Zone" meets "The Outer Limits" meets "The Time Tunnel".

So (obviously!), the 2nd half left me scratching my head as to what was going on until they explained it.

Also thought the way the "operating instructions" were grasped was a bit unbelievable - but heck - still damn good fun!

S01E08 - "Jig-a-Bobo"

Excepting the start - which confused the heck out of me until they let us know what was going on - this was easier to follow.

Incredibly violent and messy in places - major "cover mouth in shock" moments (and I'm not really that squeamish).

And much like "The Boys" - these folks know how to make an ending!

Just 2 episodes to go :( - and since it's based on the book - not sure if they have plans for a second season - which would be a terrible shame. This is SO good.

There is a novel called Shadows Bend by Barbour and Raleigh which teams up HP Lovecraft and Robert Howard which isn't bad. Like the Cosmic Horror concepts but found most of Lovecraft's writing to be so so.
Haven't seen the show yet but I'm sure I will sooner or later. Just not in a rush.

Finally caught up today so I can read this thread. Lot's of cool characters and great acting. I am enjoying this.

S01E09 - "Rewind 1921"

For me, this was the weakest episode of the season.

The impact of this abhorrent, shameful, moment in history, was watered-down by bad choices of music/voiceover, which detracted from the visuals, and didn't give enough weight to what really happened back in Tulsa, 1921.

I felt it was a bit of a missed opportunity, but having said that, this is a story centred on characters, with overlaps of real-life, so maybe I'm being too harsh. I just think it should have been more intense & emotional given the background that framed it. Hopefully it makes people go digging into the history themselves.

Acting was (as always) truly impressive, and it filled in a few gaps in the story & carried the narrative forward, but this just didn't hold me as the other episodes have.

Still way better than anything else out there right now though.

S01E10 - "Full Circle"

Last episode. Not sure if it'll get a second season, and I'm not sure I want one given how it ended.
