Yeah - turns out the tortoise was behind it all - and he WASN'T engineered to be a turtle despite what was hinted at.GEOFF MARTIN wrote: .. ."Thank-you Mr. Scott - I'll now be avoiding the upcoming Blade Runner sequel" ...please don't let it be so...not Blade Runner....

Re: ALIEN COVENANT
Just watched "Alien Covenant" this evening, it was OK but was my least favorite movie version to date!

They back themselves in a corner with this one..
The first alien and aliens.. oops.

Even thought I HATE the way they went as regards the Xeno's origins, the way they set things up for the ultimate sync was cleverly done.

Pretty much echo's my impressions. Saw it on cable last night.Heavy Metal Spike wrote:Back to "Covenant" - jeez - cue the ol' "That's 2 hours of my life I won't get back" line.
As with Prometheus, great cinematography, and some clever undertones, but (overall) a plot that's SO insulting I'd (almost) rather watch a Myley Cyrus concert.
This was so bad, I really don't know where to start - but I'd still give it the edge over Prometheus
Thank-you Mr. Scott - I'll now be avoiding the upcoming Blade Runner sequel..
If one hadn't seen ANY Alien movie prior to this, they might(??!) have liked this!
150% predictable at every turn! What a way to ruin a francise! Sad.

Basically a derelict ship filled with alien eggs and a dead space jockey
Hmm how did the eggs and ship get there.

DVR'd it and made it about 20 minutes in to the first gore-fest sequence. Hit "erase" at that point. Hated "Prometheus" which I actually paid to see in the theater. Glad I didn't have to waste the time on this one.

I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. David was just too much of a psycho for no good reason I could discern.

Re: ALIEN COVENANT
I kind of thought the whole movie negated Prometheus, or rather the initial take away point of Prometheus. But when something makes money, story be damned Hollywood needs money .
