There has never been a female Pred in ANY of the movies so far released.

Maybe I'm missunderstanding you?

.
In the ship, at the end, when all the Predators walk out into the open there is a female Predator. Or have male Preds suddenly grown breasts?

FINAL red band trailer (just 2 weeks to go) . . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50_Ala5BKBo

And here's a collection of "TV spots" from the last couple of days - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sQKdSNU0E4

      • Hell yeah !!!!!

This thing is looking AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've SO got over the Fugitive Pred's crappy suit design now - the humour just sells this - and the more I see of the casting/acting - the better it seems!

        • "Gentlemen . . . they're large, they're fast, and #$#$#$' you up is their idea of tourism".

We're there for the midnight showing on the Thursday - stoked!

Reviews so far are looking pretty durned impressive.

Not sure how I feel about that since I hate "professional" reviewers (particularly those that get invited to a free early showing)

It's currently at a level that is encouraging - around the "3 out of 5" mark - and those are the ones that are usually GREAT (for me) because they are not being overhyped or dismissed without cause.

It's nice to see comments like these:
  • "While you're watching the movie, it's hard not to get caught up in all the fun. Black and company are having a blast here, and it's infectious."

"Thoughts on Shane Black’s PREDATOR: 1) Trevante Rhodes is the action hero we need and deserve, and 2) god bless Thomas Jane and Keegan Michael-Key"
Less than a week to go :)

Be warned that things are getting a bit spoiliery for those of you that are not sure of the basics of the plot - so don't read any further . . .

Sadly, the real-life issues that have come to light in the last few weeks have convinced me to withhold my financial support for this film. I'll check it out from the library someday.

I’m having trouble getting past the churn, so I’m still not clear (yet) on exactly what happened (the article Otto linked to is a good one though - especially if read all the way through).

So far, it APPEARS:
  • • Shane Black hired a friend (Steven Wilder Striegel) for a bit-part in the movie. The scene he was in was with Olivia Munn.
    • Black knew that Striegel had been convicted of 2 sexual felonies (risk of injury to a child + enticing a minor by computer), served 6-months jail time, and is a registered sex offender.
    • It’s not clear how much of the offence detail Black was aware of (conflicting reports), but he did say -
      • "I personally chose to help a friend. I can understand others might disapprove, as his conviction was on a sensitive charge and not to be taken lightly."
    • Black apparently didn’t warn the cast or Fox studios. Not clear if this was oversight, bad judgement, or deliberate.
    • Munn found out after-the-fact and told Fox Aug 15.
    • Fox pulled the scene as soon as they were told and have stated –
      • "We were not aware of his background during the casting process due to legal limitations that impede studios from running background checks on actors."
    • Shane Black apologised to the cast, crew & Fox for not telling them -
      • "I apologize to all of those, past and present, I've let down by having Steve around them without giving them a voice in the decision."
Again, it's not clear from the press hyperbole, but some of it gives the impression that Munn is causing the stink NOW because she doesn’t like the way she was apologised to, feels there was an attempt to "make this go away", and feels the cast have ostracised her to some degree.

My conclusion so far is that Striegel is scum, Black made a bad/inconsiderate call, the studio background check laws need to be changed, and Munn & Black need to have a chat.

YMMV – but unless something more serious comes up, I’ll simply avoid watching “Iron Man 3” and “The Nice Guys” ever again (OK - full disclosure - I was never going to watch them again anyways).

I could really care less what goes on in background of this movie
Sure there will silent protests. But I will see it regardless..
