Has anyone caught this series? How is it as far as horror goes?

They aren't too bad. They seem to get better as the (3) seasons progress. I would say they lean more to supernatural more than horror if that makes any sense. Although the third season Butcher's Block was more horror than the other two season's.
I mostly watched them because they were filmed here in Winnipeg and it was neat to see some of the local locations. I've even did some plumbing in the Studio where they filmed some of the set work. Had to sign a non-disclosure agreement last time I was there because Dennis Quaid was filming his new movie about dogs.
Anyways, I enjoyed them for what they were, lower to mid budget but other wise well done.
Really choked I didn't get to meet Rutger Hauer when he was in town.

I enjoy them and feel that they are worth a watch.

I listen to creepy pastas while I work, so I'm familiar with a lot of the source material that the show is kludging together. They do a pretty decent jobs doing good narratives. The first season feels like the most Stephen King-esque thing put to film. None of it is based on King, just the themes and resolutions feel very much like King's novels to me. If you are a King fan definitely give them a shot.
