Having been disappointed by a lot of the offerings floating around over the last year, I remembered I'd promised myself I'd get round to watching FIREFLY at some point.
(* yeah - I know - how the hell have I not seen this yet *)
Started today with the 90-min pilot - "Serenity" (I'll be watching them in the PROPER order Fox you morons ) and part-way through the 2nd episode "The Train Job")
TOTALLY sold on this already - what a HUGE mistake cancelling this after only 14 episodes and a follow-on movie.

Love EVERYTHING about it (so far).

H-M-S,
What took you soo long, dude?
I totally agree! One of the very best futuristic sci-fi shows ever produced, and it's a shame it met with such an early, premature demise.
(Have you seen the "Jaynestown" episode yet)?
In addition to it being a most excellent Sci-fi movie & TV Series, I really enjoyed and appreciated both the very good humor/dialogue, along with the sometimes very intense scenes. (Sometimes the quick transition from the one to the other was pretty poignant and dramatic).
Keep the glue and paint flowing, take care and stay blessed!

Firefly is the best! The only downside to watching it is the overwhelming sense of bewilderment and frustration that it was cancelled after the first season. The Networks suck!!!

I had seen 1 or 2 when it first came on and thought, "Sheesh,
taking the Roddenberry 'wagontrain in space' alittle TOO litteral,
aren't ya?!" and stopped.

Joss honed that skill on Buffy.
Which still holds up rather well even after all this time.
I saw the pilot film on TV many years ago. I had already seen a goodly number of the episodes long before that. They may not have broadcast it before the series began but it was broadcast at some later date. It had to have been on FOX because I watched it on my bedroom TV that doesn't have a cable hook up FOX is one of the few channels it would pick up till I obtained a power boosted antenna.

That's how I was introduced to Firefly! Saw bits and pieces of Serenity on TV which made NO SENSE AT ALL ! But I caught it a couple more times in bits and piece. Tho I didn't understand it, it kept drawing me back in. I asked my younger brother about it and he told me it wouldn't make sense unless I saw the show. So back when HULU was free I got to watch all episodes in order FOX should have shown them.
What did I think of the show....? I'm a BROWN COAT forever! NEVER fell in love with a show/movie like I did Firefly/Serenity! And yes, I felt a great sadness after the last episode.
