THE Suicide Squad - best movie of 2020+2021?

OK - not going to go into details about this so I avoid spoilers for y'all - but DAMN - FINALLY we get a movie in 2020/2021 that was worth waiting for - that's over 18 months of almost total crap prior to this.

Loved EVERY minute.

Standouts were Margot Robbie & Idris Elba (no surprise there) - but the supporting cast was amazing. Along with Margot & Idris' characters, I LOVED Stallone's "King Shark" - adorable (hey - I like monstersies - whatcha expect from me?)

James Gunn is a friggin' genius.

Not up there with the 1st GOTG - but certainly better than the 2nd.

Watch it however you can - I think that most of you WON'T be disappointed.

watched it last night. it was o.k. but wouldn't watch it again.

thought the quips were falling flat, esp in the beginning of the movie.
some stupid parts.

Again, it was ok, but average for a DC flick, imho.

It Bombed..

Box-office compares with the other high-profile releases of the last year - they've all been affected by the beer-bug and (in this case) the simultaneous release on HBO Max.

CERTAINLY wasn't due to quality (unlike the pathetic efforts that were those already-mentioned releases).

Like everything over the last 18 months though - this will be MASSIVELY in the red.

I enjoyed it, but I also enjoyed the first one. I had a couple issues with it but was entertained.

Agreed. Like Buc mentioned - some of the "humour" was dodgy - mostly at the start and via Cena - who was also (for me) the weak link in the cast.

Was it entertaining? - yeah . . . was it worth watching? - yeah . . . will me & mine watch it again? - HELL YEAH !!!! (probably later this week).

I also enjoyed the first one, but that just fell into disarray as it approached the 3rd act, and then jumped off a cliff.

THIS one is MUCH better.

I liked this one way more than the first one. I was entertained and thought everyone did a pretty good job. Actually thought Cena was better than I expected, which wasn't much.
