I still despise Disney & Lucasfilm for the way they behaved over the last 2 years, but I have to give the people DIRECTLY INVOLVED in this serious kudos =D> =D> =D>

Having found a way of watching this without giving those ahole companies any of my money . . .

S01E01 - "Stranger in a Strange Land"
    • S01E02 - "The Tribes of Tatooine"

Watched E01 and thought it was clever, but a little slow in places.

JUST finished watching E02, and the consensus from me & mine is "all thumbs up".

DAMN this was great - REAL Star Wars material and scripts, and perfect casting for Boba (of course) and Fennec Shand.

Really REALLY well done - intros of new characters along with fleshing-out much-needed details of Boba & various species. Some nice mixing of timelines too (felt a bit odd in E01 but they got the balance right in E02).

Boba Fett is badass !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're hooked :thumb2:

I've been a huge fan of Temuera Morrison ever since I saw Once Were Warriors. So the fact that he is Boba/Jango/Clones in the SW universe is pretty cool to me.
I really enjoyed Ep 1 (and secretly kinda glad there was no cute and cuddly angles in the story) and am looking forward to this series.

Loved a certain armed furry creature in Ep 02 ;-)

thought ep2 was boring... is it me, or is Boba coming off as a big whimp!
LIke you want to slap him in the face and tell him to wake up and kick some
ass!!

The flashbacks are ok. The train scene kept reminding me of a Firefly episode
though.

I did enjoy when Boba inhaled a lizard and tripped balls all night.

Yeah - it's you

He's certainly more restrained in "current time" than he is in the flashbacks, but I think that's done to give the episodes a bit of variation in pace - we don't need this turning into a Michael Bay movie :)

I thought it was more of a redemption angle for all the bad things he did. Like William Munny from Unforgiven.

Never thought about that - yeah - you could be right :-k

Another option (less likely I'll admit) is he's getting old and just wants to curl up in front of the Rancor pit with a pair of slippers!

I got a chuckle out of this interview with the stars of BOBF.

S01E03 - "The Streets of Mos Espa"

LOVE the slow build on this - and LOVED the various introductions (I nearly jumped out of my seat when I saw the "delivery guy" :) ) with the possible exception of the "teenagers".

So many little (and not so little!) member berries in this one.

Sucks it was a shorter episode, AND that we only have 4 more left :(

It was really tough choosing a pic from the end credits that reminded us that HAVE watched it what happened and yet didn't give anything away to those that HAVEN'T - but I got there

PS: I totally misread the name of one of the associate producers - his name is apparently "Clint"

Fun episode. I thought the "gang" was a little lame, way to clean and shiny to be on the streets of Mos Espa.
DT as the Rancor keeper is going to be sweet.

S01E04 - "The Gathering Storm"

I know there has been interwebz criticism of the series so far (people saying it's too slow, not enough action etc.), but I find it relaxing and truly enjoyable.

For me, it really does have that "original trilogy" vibe to it - just comforting and appealing in all the right ways.

I wouldn't say its perfect, but it's up there with The Mandalorian (just needs a bit of Gina Carano - and the end of THIS weeks would have been a great place to pull her in :) ).

Few points worth mentioning:
  • • I still don't understand how anyone gets anywhere on time using Bantha's.
    • Ming-Na Wen is AMAZING as Fennec Shand.
    • Is it me, or do the heads of the aliens whose leader was at the head of the table look like a cross between Swamp-Thing and the gorilla guy in the 2nd Conan movie? (with a bit of Ron Perlman thrown in for good measure).
    • MAN did Jennifer Beals (ex-Flashdance) grow up to be all sorts of cute at 58 years young!

Screw the haters - I'll be so pissed when the next 3 episodes are over.

this episode wasn't bad. I agree about the Bantha's and their speedy
jaunts. :)

Boba seems tired of being a bounty hunter, and wanting to settle down and establish something--interesting character development that I wasn't expecting. I'm enjoying it as well, so to hell with the Haters

S01E05 - "Return of the Mandalorian"

GREAT opening - had vibes of "THAT" scene in Predator 2.

You could almost rename this "NOT The Book of Boba Fett" . . . but it tied up some loose ends & unwanted plot history, and was fun (excepting that curly haired lass again - who really bugs the heck out of me!)

Just 2 episodes to go.

That Naboo starfighter just didn't make sense to me!! The dude needs
storage space, man, not a single seater!! Where's he gonna store the carbonated
bounties?! Under the fuselage?!

Find the man another Razor Crest!!

He's going to need a catheter on those long trips.
