She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

I haven't been a fan of how Disney-Marvel behaves OR (for the most part) what they have produced.

But limiting the discussion to the TV shows of late . . .
  • 1) WandaVision - couldn't get to the end (for a variety of reasons  ).
    2) (Captain) Falcon and the Winter Soldier - even though I think Sebastian Stan is great - couldn't bring myself to watch this drivel (based on clips I DID see).
    3) Loki - curiously entertaining (in a "what the heck is going on" way) at the start - then REALLY went downhill fast. Completely destroyed the character.
    4) Hawkeye - I liked this (except for the "tiny girl throwing round thugs" bit & the sillyness of the last episode). Jeremy Renner & Hailee Steinfeld nailed it.
    5) Moon Knight - weird & different - best so far. Final episode was (again) a bit of a let-down - but still OK. Oscar Isaac showing his acting chops in a very impressive way.

But THIS - THIS - looks like it MAY have been done in the vein of the John Byrne run.

REALLY enjoyed the trailer (EASILY the best trailer for any of the 6 shows so far). Looks funny, the actress seems to fit better than I thought she would, and love the title.

Fingers crossed for August 17th  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gim2kprjL50

100% agree! I never bothered to watch Wanda or Moon Knight but the other 3 left me cold after a few eps. But THIS is very anticipated! 8)

I've been saying the Marvel movies are mostly over for me a few years now, but I keep watching for what's coming and am sometimes interested. Really liked No Way Home but gave up on plans to see the new Doctor Strange film after finding out it largely serves as a follow-up to WandaVision, which I thought was OK but never need to see again. I freaking hate that the only way to fully understand what's happening in the Strange movie is to watch the TV show.

She-Hulk looks like a lot of fun. But I'd rather eat a turd than subscribe to Disney+, so I'm going to wait until I can check out a DVD from the library before seeing it.

I hear ya!

Another option - as far as I know, you can share a subscription from a friend or relative - unless things are different in the US to Canada? . . . because I sure as heck don't pay for a subscription (and NEVER will!)

Honestly, I don't even want Disney to be able to count me as having watched it at all. Same goes for Netflix, Paramount+, Amazon, Hulu (meaning Disney again) and more. All of 'em are out to get us.

I find free streaming services have plenty for me, although my interest in Freevee has suffered a bit from discovering it's Amazon's.

Second trailer is up and this had me laughing my ass off :bgrin:
That confirms my initial thoughts - EASILY the best trailers for any of their TV shows so far - just ticks SO many boxes for me - ESPECIALLY the humour =D> =D> =D>

CGI looks a bit iffy, but that's likely down to TV vs. movie budget, or perhaps the recently well-publicised "turnaround time" issues?

REALLY looking forward to this (which is more than can be said for the other Disney-Marvel trailer that got released same day).

Seriously psyched - between Predator: PREY (Aug 5th), a new Predator anthology novel (Aug 9th) and THIS (premiering Aug 17th), August is looking like an amazing month for entertainment !!!!!!

S01E01 - "A Normal Amount of Rage"

I stayed up for an immediate watch as soon as it was available (easier for me, being on the West coast).

Not too bad. There was a lot from the trailers in this 1st episode, so that took the edge off a bit.

Maslany is PERFECT, an amazing actress that was perfectly cast . . . which almost makes up for how annoying Ruffalo is.

I thought the visual effects were very well-done (with the exception of Titania's dodgy flying leap across the courtroom that was also in the trailers).

Some editing seemed a bit jerky, the story jumped around a bit too fast in places, and some of the lines were a little cringey (others were laugh-out-loud funny even 3rd or 4th time round!), and I'm hoping things will settle down a bit as we progress.

Overall - pleased with this. I can't help thinking they should have dropped the 1st 3 episodes together as a better introduction. Still . . . roll-on next weeks episode :)

Well DAMN! My Disney link is through my son and his vindictive wife. They're fighting so she cut his account off!

AGREED!!!!

I got into a disagreement with my son Michael over this. He didn't have a problem with them. However I was/am screaming "Conspiracy Theory".

Spoiler Alert here:
(Continuing this side note/tangent, has anyone else noticed how Disney has introduced proteges with just about all of their Characters as of late?
.
Dr. Strange introduced America Chavez.
Thor introduced the daughter of Gorr the God Butcher.
Ms. Marvel has a connection to Captain Marvel.
Hawkeye introduces Kate Bishop, aka Ladyhawke or Hawk Eve, or Hawk Shot or Lady Arrow.
You have Sam, (formerly know as The Falcon) who has donned the new Captain American character.
And now you have She Hulk continuing flying The Hulk banner.
Keep the glue and paint flowing, take care and stay blessed!

S01E02 - "Superhuman Law"

Seriously - could this BE any better?!? :bannana:

Without a doubt - by FAR - this is the best Disney/Marvel TV show created to date. Clever scripts, superb acting, no forced agenda stuff - VERY funny (there were several laugh-out-loud moments in this one) . . . and (basically) just bloody entertaining!

Enjoyed this episode more than E01, but if there's 1 thing that niggles me - the episodes are too damn short (I think this comes in at about 22mins after removing the front/end bits).

I'm hooked - and will absolutely be watching EVERY SINGLE EPISODE :hot: :hot: :hot:
