Anyone else excited for John Wick 4 ?

Big fan of the series. The 1st is amazing. The 2nd was good, but not quite as fun. The 3rd was interesting, but I didn't like how he was basically handicapped most of the movie.
Hoping this 4th one will be better than the last two.

Haven't watched the trailer as I'm trying to go in "cold".

I agree with your assessment (and hope).

Love the series! Waiting to see how he deals with the Continental. May see this one in the theater.

I like the plot for #3 but I think the execution was sub-par. I think the movie suffered from too many fights.
I know, strange thing to say for a John Wick movie, but that is how I feel. The fights were too long and drawn out, and there wasn't enough space to breath between them. After a while I just became kind of numb to the fights. I just wanted them to move past them and give me the next gem in the plot / world building.
I don't regret seeing it. And I don't mind watching again, I just don't give it full attention, as it doesn't hold my attention.
Not the way the first two do.

Yeah - that sums up what I remember too.

So far #2 is the best of the bunch - but that said, I enjoy them all.

Right - I think I can use this thread (and the other one where Buc mentioned these) as enough of a nudge/hint/justification.

All 3 are now lined up for this week

In which case, I'll be curious to see what you thought of this 4th outing.

I loved it despite its shortcomings - you obviously have to forget about reality . . . three obvious examples:
  • 1) There are apparently no police wherever John goes - ESPECIALLY Paris.
    2) With the amount of bullets flying around, there is no way that ONE of them wouldn't hit John's hands or face.
    3) No human being can survive car impacts (or any of the punishment meted out) on a SINGLE basis, let alone repeat after repeat.
This too had fight scene after fight scene, but had NONE of the "dodgy" fight choreography we saw towards the start of #3 . . . and the SETTINGS & cinematography for ALL these fights blow everything I've EVER seen out of the water - Bond movies included.

And then they top it off with a new track from "In This Moment" playing in its entirety over the end credits (swoon!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMHLsuygymI

I'll be able to watch this over and over and over. Thoroughly entertaining.

Honestly the biggest problem I had with these movies is that there is a secret society of tattooed hipsters (people who's clothing purchases revolve around them showing off their tattoos) that can keep this society a secret.

Wait, Tidy Bowl Scuzz, Tidy Bowl. Jeebus, I don't want to find out what product that is.

Watched this last night. Good mindless action. The fact Wick barely talks tells me they were truly out of ideas. The dragon's breath/overhead scene was amazing and anything with the dog urinating was great.
This series was really forgettable to me, kinda like the Matrix. Started off as a great idea but made progressively worse as they tried to milk out more money and obviously had no plan how to finish it.
Man, Tim, you've become so cynical and crabby. I'll take Macgruber as fact but I rip apart this?
Well, I'm off to see what the Fast and the Furious series is all about.

LMAO - as we have ascertained over the years - English is not Scuzz's first choice of language :)

Despite the fact I like Vin Diesel, I only managed the first 3 minutes of the 1st one - then had to turn it off because of the irritating rap music.

That was a few years back . . . wonder if I can manage NOW given Tom MacDonald has broadened my appreciation somewhat? :-k
