Having got turned off this by the end of season 1, I skipped season 2 completely (which was also pretty forgettable).

But having read reviews from folks I trust regarding the 2 episodes so far released from season 3, I watched them, and was amazed by the HUGE increase in quality.

Season 3 is what the show should have been like all along - truly deserving of being part of the franchise. HIGHLY recommended.

Since seasons 1 & 2 were effectively self-contained - you don't have to force yourself to suffer through those to enjoy season 3.

EXCELLENT Spike!!!

My wife and I started binge-watching Star Trek: Picard over at our Summer home in Croatia - Season 1 in 2021, Season 2 in 2022. I agree that season 2 was not as good (after the first couple of episodes I was wondering if they were about to "go wobbly" by introducing too much politics, but then they "righted the ship" and the rest of it was quite watchable).

The trailers for season 3 had us licking our chops - now I will tell her to prepare for another enjoyable binge-watching escapade later on this year!!!

I'll wait till the show is finished and some final verdicts. As it stands Next Generation ended at the TV show for me.
