At somepointsitsounds like he is playing a double bass drum but I see only one.

My Son is working out of town at the moment but has a gig this coming week, I just called him about his Base drum and he says he uses an Eliminator Demon Double foot pedal that enables him to strike the drum twice with one depression of his foot pedal. enabling him to keep a foot on his hi-hat...
