Things have been so crazy in my life lately, I didn't even realize this was sneaking up.
Until I heard it on the radio last night.
Think you're gonna love this one. It really rocks, and showcases Lzzy's 'vocals with attitude'.
And I love the basic video. Just the band jamming. Nothing fancy just killer rock.

Thanks Trev.

I listened to it the day it was up and have been meaning to post it here myself.

Been so tired lately though . . . too much work & not enough me to go round.

I love it - but then I love pretty much EVERYTHING they have EVER done.

Such a talented bunch - fronted by the best Female rock voice to enter the fray in the last 40 years - if not ever.

I'll get so animal, like never before
So you press play, and i'll hit record

      . . .

I'll give you one last night so make it twisted
Give you one last shot, go on and hit it
Give you one last time to make me miss it

Great song. Look forward to the new album :D

I second that.
Another great Joplinlike voice is Susan Marshall. Unfortunately just one album with this band and then she did jazz :(
That's a pity, the whole album is a beauty.

New Scorps album is out and OMG (at first listening) – possibly their best ever!

Seriously - a PERFECT mix from all the years they have been sharing their skills (oh I SO wish other bands would do this!)

I’ve not been THIS impressed with an album in YEARS!

There are TOTALLY elements of “cheeseyness” – but that just shows how much of the 80’s stuff they have drawn on.

I could not be happier about this – IT IS AWESOME! (* this coming from someone who has followed them since 1976! *)

Uli Jon Roth's new one...got from Korea...not available here yet...ripping through all the old (pre-lovedrive) Scorpions tunes...i was never a fan until LOVEDRIVE...shocked to see what i was missing!

Yeah - I'd been listening to the pre-release stuff off Uli's album - everything I've heard sounds great. There's some gems in the early Scorps albums (pre-Lovedrive) - a lot of dross too - but always interesting.

New Whitesnake album on the horizon - "The Purple Album".

"Stormbringer" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xk9wWj8Wh30

The whole track is superb - and Reb's solo 2:18-3:00 - friggin' AWESOME !!!!!

New Whitesnake looks promising. Good to see Aldridge on drums again. On the Live DVD from 2006 they open with a version of Burn/Stormbringer thats worth the price of the DVD alone.

live version of Panama from Van Halen.
seems they are coming out with a live album at the end of this month
recorded from the Tokyo Dome....supposedly it is a raw recording meaning no studio
work done on it.
Waited a long time for a good Live album from the boys

Be curious to hear how true that turns out to be.
I've heard those claims by many bands over the years, but they always end up tinkering with things here and there.

headcase/controlling ego EVH won't let it go without tweaks...only soundboard or audience recordings will ever get VH "raw"

This year has been SO goddamn (Lemmydamn) good so far . . .

Revolution Saints - Way To The Sun -album released 2 weeks back.
You can easily turn the clock back 20-30 years with this – and the whole album is in the same vein.

Beautiful guitar work by Doug Aldrich (VERY recently ex-Whitesnake) & Neal Schon + vocals that are a perfect match for 80’s Journey.

One of my fave's off the new album (no big surprise THERE then).

I Like It Heavy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ugwl46p7vvk

      • Image
    • Some like beautiful, perfect and pretty
I see the good in the bad and the ugly
I need the volume one louder than ten
I put the pedal to the metal, needle into the red
And if the windows ain't shaking
      Making my heart race
If I can't feel it in my chest
I'm in the wrong damn place!

I got a demon in my soul and a voice in my head
It's saying GO! GO! GO! I can sleep when I'm dead
There's a sonic revelation bringing me to my knees
And there's a man down below who needs my sympathy
Got a ringing in my ears getting ready to burst
      Screaming "Hallelujah M o t h e r f' u c k e r take me to church"

I like it louder than the boom
      Of a big bass drum
I need it harder than the sound
      Of a guitar grunge
I love to crank it up
      Make it thump
      And evil to the core
      Headbanging in the pit
      And throwing my horns
      And just like old school
      Sabbath, Zeppelin and Lemmy
I need to drop it down low
      And make it heavy
      I like it heavy
      I like it heavy

I ride the lightning, roll with the thunder
Going down down down with my sisters and brothers
I fell in love with their darkest parts
Stand on the side of the wild at heart
I plucked the feather off a crow so I could fly
Since I was 13 years old I've had my fist to the sky

I like it louder than the boom
      Of a big bass drum
I need it harder than the sound
      Of a guitar grunge
I love to crank it up
      Make it thump
      And evil to the core
      Headbanging in the pit
      And throwing my horns
      And just like old school
      Sabbath, Zeppelin and Lemmy
I need to drop it down low
      And make it heavy
      I like it heavy
      I like it heavy

I like it, I like it, I like it heavy

Some like beautiful, perfect and pretty
I see the good in the bad and the ugly

      I like it heavy
      I like it heavy

In my opinion, one of the best Live album ever : Foghat.
Sound is just crazy. The guitars are insane, going to a kind of madness.
