The blues legend passed away yesterday at the age of 89.

My wife actually met him many years ago. At the time, she was working at a hotel in Athens, Georgia where he was staying, and delivered a room service meal to him. He very kindly signed a photo for her, which she still has to this day.
Rest in peace, Mr. King... you will be missed!

I'm very sorry to hear about this! I admire his character just as much as I do his music. Unlike some other legends, with BB it was always about the music...never himself. At least it always seemed that way to me. RIP!

Well, I loved BB King probably more than anyone....but finding out he had 15 kids
from many different women, bothered me....spreading the blues, I guess.

My favourite BB lyrics (from memory):monsterjones wrote:Well, I loved BB King probably more than anyone....but finding out he had 15 kids

"It is not the singer, but the song"
"I bought you a four course dinner - you said it was just a snack
I let you live in my apartment - you said it was just a shack,
I gave you a brand new Ford - you said: "I want a Cadillac"
I gave you SEVEN CHILDREN - and now you WANT TO GIVE THEM BACK!"
There's a nice BB figure but unfortunately only 54mm scale
