For some reason, all my 1980's tickets came up missing. Oddly enough, shortly after my wife complained about me having so much crap around the house, the box containing those tickets, and several Conan the Barbarian 1st editions came up missing. She swore she had no idea what happened to it. But I still have my suspicions.
Just like the only concert shirt I don't still own was my Motley Crue Theater of Pain shirt. The wife tossed it 'because it had a hole in it'
Geez Trev - that sucks.

Still have ALL of mine - in a VERY large box that is not as organised as it SHOULD be

Mine are in a plastic container now.

And I was wrong. My hockey tickets only go back to 2003.

That does suck! Plus a hole or two in a t-shirt gives it character.

And when they start getting like that, they get retired.
Which means packed away in a box with the other old shirts.
Most of my 80's Maiden shirts you can see through if you hold them up.
They are that thin. But at the same time, the graphics are still nice and clear.
Even back then, Maiden were all about quality.

I hear you on that

My faves that fall in that category are:
  • • 1983 Donington festival shirt (skull with white snake crawling through it) bought 20th Aug 1983 at the festival.
    • 1984/85 "World Slavery tour" shirt (John's avatar) bought 2nd Oct 1984 at the first of the 2 Birmingham Odeon gigs.

I know what you mean about getting worn and thin!!!! My son used to have a ton of shirts he would get when he did the catering. Just about every show he got a local crew or special-type shirt, plus all the backstage passes too. Wish he still did that work!!

My Son and I are considering getting a couple of these (front + back shown below) - they're not cheap, but they ARE really cool . . .

Personally, I want that hoodie.
I was eyeing that last week when I first heard about the presale.
Then I saw the US store also has the hockey jerseys on sale.

I'm gonna drop some 'hints' to my daughter and see if one of them ends up as one of my birthday gifts.

Yeah - I would have got that too - but my Son & I finally DID splash out on those white "Killers" tees that I posted above - so I'll need to wait a few weeks at least or I'll get "the eye" from the wee Wifey

Yeah. Same here. No funds for fun stuff like that at the moment.
Just sunk a few hundred into exhaust work on my car, and now I need to deal with intake gasket.
Even with me doing all the labor it's another couple hundred in parts.

Plus, I really need to save some cash for WF coming up in less than 2 months now! :o

Always seem like when you want to buy something cool the car/washer-dryer/whatever breaks down and you have to channel your funds into that. I just had to buy tires for both cars and now the waterpump is leaking on my truck. :x

I was hoping it was the water pump when I saw the puddle under my car on Saturday.
Annoying, but at least that job is relatively cheap and easy.
But nooooooooooooo!
It had to be the intake gasket.
I'm hoping that Friday after work + Saturday + Sunday will be enough time for me to get the job done.

Well, first date of the tour is in the bag, and now I know the setlist.

If you are planning on seeing the tour this summer and don't want to be spoiled do not read any further.

SPOILERS

They changed 2 songs from last year.
Removed one older song, and one new song.
Replaced with one older song and one new song.

Dropped Hallowed. Most seem to think because it is so hard for Bruce to sing it now.
He isn't getting any younger and after the throat cancer he isn't exactly what he used to be.
Replaced it with Wrathchild.

That change really doesn't affect me one way or the other. I've already seen both performed many times over the years. So, meh.

They also dropped Tears Of A Clown. Which kind of bums me out, as I like that song.
They added The Great Unknown. Which does sound killer live (video here).

This is also something of a historical moment for the band.
They have never premiered a new song on a tour after the original album tour.
Sure, technically this is still the BOS tour, but they have new graphics on the shirts to designate this as the 2017 tour. So that pretty much makes it separate from the 2016 tour.
The closest they came was 2001. When they played Fallen Angel, and Out of the Silent Planet at four of the last six shows of the BNW tour. (two shows at Shepherd's Bush + Mexico and Argentina. Chile and Rio got Run To The Hills, so it could be on the RIR cd/dvd) But that was still the same tour.
