Same goes for the next (2nd) "Revolution Saints" album (due out Oct 13th) . . .

For some strange reason, they sound like a perfect mix of Journey + Whitesnake + Night Ranger + Damn Yankees

These guys are great friends and love making music together - that SHINES through, and I'm so glad the fellas stuck with Dean as he makes amends for his mistakes.

On my to buy list - some good stuff there. Always liked Night Ranger from their beginnings and met Jack a couple times. He puts on no super star airs at all. I actually met him backstage in St. Louis the first time and he bs'd with me and my wife for a good half hour - introduced us to some relatives he had in the area and acted like he was just another guy on the street. Way cool when musicians you look up to don't burst your bubble!!

Another new vid from the recent (fourth) Black Country Communion album.

Channelling their inner (and outer) Led Zeppelin - but with a MUCH better singer.

I've actually been in a classic rock mood lately.

Been doing up a bunch of old Judas Priest.
(like Rocka Rolla through Stained Class)

Some classic Alice Cooper
(Welcome to My Nightmare)

Lita Ford (her first 2 albums)

Older Black Sabbath.
Some Deep Purple
And early Van Halen.

Basically, except for Lita, I've been heavy into pre-hair rock.

Yeah - he sounded great for "The World Is Yours" (2010) and "Aftershock" (2013), but during the tours after that, his voice got steadily shakier and less vibrant. That's also really evident on their last album "Bad Magic" (2015) released just 4 months before his sad passing.

As with many others who have left us, I STILL can't accept he's not around - f.u.c.k. cancer

Yeah. I will echo both those sentiments in regards to RJD.
I still can't accept that cancer took him so quick.

Been crossing off the last titles in my "Quentin Tarantino movies I haven't watched" list.

Did Inglourious Basterds last week (wasn't impressed), but tried Jackie Brown yesterday and LOVED it.

The music really "takes you back", and even though I'd NEVER heard this track before, I was hooked. So cool.

I was in a very classic rock mood tonight.
So I cranked up some UFO
So I started with some Lights Out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aatjerFCRP8
rolled into some Too Hot To Handle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF4MvVgmHSI
then I hit Rock Bottom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKTsKRU51yM
so I had to get to Doctor Doctor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daqWToxZUJY
(though I had to go with the Maiden version as I have heard that way more than the original)

That made me jump to some Fastway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3n7Ae7yzLc
(because Pete Way, and they opened for Maiden)

Which then led to some Waysted - Make the Wall Fall Down https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB8QtVqPBCU
(again Pete Way and opened for Maiden)
and now Heroes Die Young https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6pyhrZiDsQ
then I made the mistake of playing Heaven Tonight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vywy4Sxa7Ko
which made me remember the painful side of hair metal.

I had to cleanse the pallet.
The way a piano should be used for a rock song Bruce Dickinson - Tears of the Dragon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS_RiW_VV7Q
ok, lets get a lot heavier now Accident of Birth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtShcJB1Exs
and a little humor Tattooed Millionaire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdpMx0-AlDs
and the most Maiden song Bruce ever did solo No Lies - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKnDZ75Psrg

Now, I am off to listen to the rest of the Tattooed Millionaire album.

(this is how my ADD music mind works)

Kinda weird, often run the TV as bgm.

One Amazon CM caught my ear.
Turns out it is 'Give a little bit' by Rodger Hodson/Supertrampn(not original version).
Video seems like it could fit various markets globally.

Not really a song but I managed to require 2 Albums I love, wore the CD out.

1.) Original Sin - Pandora's Box(Jim Steinman)
2.) Ballads & Blues 1982 - 1994 - Gary Moore

Gary Moore lefts us to early ditto for Gerry Rafferty.

This morning, while laying in bed listening to the radio I heard this beautiful cover of Pink Floyd's - Wish You Were Here.
I knew I recognized the vocals, and the style, but I just couldn't put my finger on who it was.
So, when I got out of bed and got to the computer, I hit YouTube to find out.

When I saw who it was, I was surprised at who it was, yet disappointed that I hadn't figured it out on my own. Now that I know, I can hear their signature all over the song. The singing voice, the guitar tone.
But it is such a departure from their normal type of song it just didn't click.

Here is the cover
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwrnjtW-rfk

I won't say who it is yet. I know some won't even give it a listen if they know the artist.
Just give it a listen.
