31 years yesterday since the release of "Savage Amusement" (April 16th 1988)

The wee Wifey's introduction to the Scorpions - she never looked back :D

It's stayed a fave in the Campbell clan for all of these years, for us (TOTALLY one of "OUR" albums) AND the next generation.

And the young lady in question is as beautiful today as she was back then - heart, mind, body & soul :cloud9: Image I don't know what I did to deserve her, so it must have been in a previous life :)

This song is thanks to the Supernatural season finale last night.
It was an amazing fit for the end of the episode. The imagery as this song played was something else.

I know right.
I didn't think the song was that old, until I looked it up on YouTube and saw the date. :o

I'm not sloppy - I'm an Impressionist!
Therefore anything that looks like a flaw is an intentional and integral part of the artwork as a whole.

I've posted about these guys before - the Mojo are back!

Most of you are aware of the high regard I have for Halestorm - led by a woman whose voice brings me to tears and a band who are TRULY amazing in every regard.

When considering a male-fronted "new band" equivalent, I'm thinking it has to be "Blacktop Mojo" for me.

They've just released a video for the first track off the new album (their 3rd) - due Sept 13th - and it only took to the end of the 2nd line of lyrics before all the hairs on my arms stood on end. The singer has such an emotive voice, and the rest of the band are at "stupidly talented" level.

I wish they would drop by my part of the world - and those of you that DO have the chance to catch them on the current (July/Aug) tour should NOT miss the opportunity.

They will be close to me both Aug 15 & 16 -Springfield, IL and Columbia, MO are both about 100 miles from me. Gonna have to check my schedule and maybe take a road trip!

I'm not a big fan of Metallica - in fact: I can't stand most of their stuff I've heard - but this was cool to listen to / watch.

Pro-shot multicam footage from Twickenham Stadium in London, England on June 20th 2019.

Holly crap!

Thanks to your post I took a look at some of the other videos that Metallica put up from recent shows.
Even though you don't like the music, I think you can respect the band for putting on this kind of performance in a pouring rain at Manchester

Don't like Ides of March :(
Another Life is probably my favorite song on the album, followed by Prodigal Son
then Wrathchild followed by Murders.

But yeah, Killers is the weakest of the first 7 albums.

Inspired by our posts - I went and listened to the album for the first time in 38 years (I.E. - since the year it was released).

I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I'm obviously a fickle lil' bugger :)

Have to agree.

My fave comment  "Shout out to all the techs who know how to ground all the sound equipment properly." :D

Billy Idol did something similar a few years back at one of the UK festivals - I respected HIM a bit more after that too.

I hear you.
I always forget how much I actually enjoy Iron Maiden and Killers.
I usually skip them too when listening to albums.
Just like I skip anything from the 90's.
There are a few good tracks in there, hell even some classics. But I just can't listen to any of those albums all the way through.

NINE years yesterday since IN THIS MOMENT released their 3rd album - "A Star-Crossed Wasteland" - July 13th, 2010

That was the first one I bought on pre-release (got the T-shirt and cuddly toy to prove it!) (* OK - NOT the cuddly toy - Maria wasn't available and the Wife would NOT have approved *)

Duet with "Otherwise" vocalist Adrian Patrick from the album - one of the singles - "The Promise" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uakxkjYMDI

Still love this band all these years later - love the sound, the vibe, and ESPECIALLY Maria's voice.

Not exactly a song, but I've been sitting here re-listening to Bruce Dickinson's solo material for the last couple hours.

I forgot how many great songs he had.

Lucky you! - I managed to miss them when they played here (I think it was towards the end of 2018?)

Still on my bucket list.

I like the theatrics, and I could watch Maria play poker and be enthralled as long as she sings.
