Maybe a hopeless inquiry.
Can anyone tell me the name of an obscure band (from the '80's?) that did a concept album about a loser punk that killed a chef and stole his cookbook? He went on to fame as a famous cook until his downfall due to drugs.
It sounds ridiculous but it was meant to be.
Each song was done in either a parody or tribute style to a well known band. The actual band itself was very talented.
I really liked this album but lost it in a house fire. I'd like to replace it but can't, for the life of me, remember the band or album name.

No.
I finally found out it was The Coolies.
I found out by searching the few phrases I remembered from the lyrics. Just goes to show you can find anything on-line.

Dude, you'll need to check out thier first album.
DIG
Where they butchered Simon & Garfunkel in various styles.
I'm still glad I have both albums on vinyl.
DOUG, by the way, comes with a hilariously bad comicbook.

I'm not sloppy - I'm an Impressionist!
