Well... I get to cross off one of the "bucket list". Next March I will get to see Michael Gira's THE SWANS play live. Never thought that this would ever happen... but colour me happy! If you have no idea who I am talking about check out my link! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EfxK0s-eFA
Having just (today) discovered "Nashville P u s s y" via BW&BK, I did some research and found out that they are in Vancouver in 2 weeks time.
Despite me not liking the drugs & violence connection (too many memories of Glasgow) I think I am going to attend.
Love the lead singers voice, the "Southern rock" style and (I am ashamed to admit) was totally drawn in by the female guitarist (Ruyter Suys) - she is SO my type
Lynyrd Skynyrd & Blackfoot meet Motorhead & AC/DC - can't believe these guys have been around for 12 years and I've only JUST heard of them.
Still - better late than never I guess - and JUST in time for the tour
Warning - these songs are NOT for those of a sensitive disposition and are NOT suitable for viewing at work.
Love Nashvill #$#$#$#, i played/toured with their original bassist Cory Parks who's now in and now married to Duane Peters and the Hunns. We supported them for a couple of months in Europe... Top chick and guys for that matter.
Anyway, next show is Monday night (it's a long weekend here for Melbourne Cup, a horse race) seeing Airbourne, some local boys making a stir in the US and Eu... Check 'em out if you haven't heard of them, good Melb/Aust Rock n Roll.

Saw the Cult Sunday night and Social D on Monday night. Social D is not to be missed!!! Best show I've ever seen. They cover their entire career, from punk to present.
