Got a message from a friend of Denis McDougall, letting me know he is in the hospital. She asked me to pass along the news; he hopes to be out in a few days.

I typically refer to Denis as my top salesman, as he's sold more Scrooge kits for me than I could even guess. I wish him all the best.

Thank yo all for your well wishes..
I was admitted to the Peter Lougheed Hospital on November 17, 2018 with a serious leg infection that relates to my never ending COPD illness due to past exposure to Asbestos et al. I was is serious pain. The Doctors tried to fight the pain with Hydromorphone (opioid) .The problem with that is that it suppresses your breathing and I retained too many Co2s... not good. I nearly asphyxiated . Code Blue is named after the color of your skin when you are Oxygen deprived (pick me)
I was put on a C-pap (external iron lung) and for 5 long hours I fought Death...
Long story, short.... well I'm typing aren't I?
I got out of the Hospital yesterday Dec 19, 2018

Thanks to my Brother Bob and my Son Dylan who flew thousands of miles to be at my side, to my Family
who took turns to provide me with 24 hour company.

Geez Denis - you've really been through it!

If you are home, then things must be better, but without knowing specifics about your condition, that could mean you are still in a fair bit of discomfort.

I hope that's not the case, and that things stabilise and get ever better.

Thank you all, your sentiments brought tears to my eyes...
When I went Code Blue I was given 5 hours to live...
That scared the absolute crap out of me... and I fought hard.
Still in a bunch of discomfort but being home and alive
is awesome and I'm cherishing every moment...
