Monster Jones was in The House! (Bill & Kathy's visit)

#1 Post by bucketfoot-al »

Bill 'Monster' Jones and his lovely better half Kathy came down from Austin and paid us a visit this afternoon in old San Antonio.

Bill also delivered two of the commissions that I entrusted to him a few months ago (and took two more commissions back with him).

Enjoy the photos! I know its rare when those of us in The Hobby get to meet in person, which makes every time we see Bill & Kathy that much more special after knowing them "long distance" for all those years!

Bill's painting and base-creation work on that old kitbashed Spinosaurus has to be seen to be believed! I have NEVER seen a more awesome paint up of a dinosaur in my life!!! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

His paint up of my old kitbashed Godzilla is just as impressive. He made it come to life - and look downright mean!!!   The "piece-de-resistance" is the "atomic breath" beam that comes with lights - that Bill graciously added to the build as a "bonus" :-D ! (Can't wait to set that puppy up!!)

Thank you Bill!!!

Cool!
Wow , I didn’t realize from the other pics in different section just how big these kits are.
They Look great. Congrats !

On another note, I used to spend a lot of time in Austin for work and always loved the live rock-blues music scene down there ! Spent many a long and fun evening on 6th street…

Really cool seeing you guys together, and those kits out in the wild.
We don't often see pics of our members, or pics of kits in normal household settings.

Bigger even than the day your album hit #1 on the Blues charts? I'm humbled and honored, Bill!! Thanks!
