My Tony McVey Carnotaurus

#1 Post by shinchan »

Hello all,

First post of one of my finished works. Had this Carnotaurus feeding on a sauropod resin kit for a few years and finished it not too long ago. Lighting isn't great but hope you enjoy. Done all in acrylics.

Nice job! I like the colors and you did a great job filling in the seams. I have one of these and it has heavy seam lines on the legs and belly that are a result of trying to cast the original without sectioning it first.

Thanks turoksos! Had to do some extra sanding and puttying to fill in some pesky gaps; also an extra rod in the foot to pin it more securely to the base. Overall a great kit by Tony; now on the lookout for his Pentaceratops kit which seems almost impossible to get.

Pentaceratops is very rare indeed. It won't come cheap.

Cool! Love this kit! Good luck on that Pentaceratops. Someone was selling it about 6 months ago. Not sure it ever sold. He recently re-released his Triceratops if ever you're interested. Check out Dansdinosaurs.com

Very nice! The blue colour surprisingly works for this one.
