KITBASHED SMILODON (SABER-TOOTH TIGER)

#1 Post by bucketfoot-al »

Recently an old collecting acquaintance asked me to take a Recur Smilodon figure and graft its head & neck onto a Floz Smilodon figure from the Orient that had a ridiculously small "pinhead", but a really nice muscular body. I hadn't kitbashed a prehistoric critter for a while, so I said OK ... here are some photos of the completed figure..

Big thanks to Bill "Monster" Jones for teaching me the "oil wash" technique a couple of months ago that made this baby's colors really "pop". 8)
